Kelley pitched a great game until tiring in the 7th. Thamm gets a strikeout and groundball out with the bases loaded to close it out. Alex Rocha with 2nd HR of the year.

BH 7 St. Thomas 6

Hunter Silva had a 1-hitter until tiring in the 7th. St. Thomas goes up 6-2 in top of the 7th. JR. Jared Baker throws to one batter to record final out. BH scores 5 in the bottom of the 7th. In a baseball oddity, Baker gets the win. St. Thomas coach intentionally walks last 2 batters to end the game.....basically just quit...."because of lack of pitchers'. Unbelievable ! 

BH moves to 6-2 on the season. Will play @10:00 tomorrow morning against Bellaire.

Hicks threw well. I think Nederland only had 2 hits.  They're not going to make it very far hitting the way they have the last 2 games.

Dudes and dudettes, how can you possibly think Ozen is going to beat the mighty Jack Yates Lions. Their mystic will give them 5 points even BEFORE the game starts, but you won't see it on the scoreboard in the beginning. By time Ozen realize what hit them, it will be too late to catch up. I promise you dudes and dudettes, the lighta re out baby! No more taking one game at a time. This is it! No more running  or speculating on the board. Thank you Huntsville for a very good wake-up call. Ozen will not be able to answer against Jack Yates mighty athleticism and quickness.

And after the game, I want the same people on the forum to come back and discuss Yate's win and give them their props. There will be no place to hide for all you Panthers and Pantherettes. It's showtime baby!!!

WOW, there's a lesson in this for Big Ned.

What's the lesson?  A bad night. It's one game and not the end of the world.  It's preseason and the coach appears to be still finalizing his bullpen as well as one or two other positions(catcher and right field).  That's why you give some guys a chance.  It didn't work tonight.  Except for Stanley, Pitts, and Vidrine, the bats struggled.  It happens.
