  1. Can I quote you on that....oops I just did. ;D
  2. Looks like the rain may win them all. :'(
  3. Going to be a good year for BH. Once the offense catches up to the pitching, look out. Golden Triangle better not lose site of Bay City. They will be in the mix once playoffs get here, especially if it is a 1-gamer. Bay City actually has two good pitchers. The other is Shawn Rutherford....played second last night. Heck of an athlete. Honorable mention All-state QB and a starter on the basketball team. has signed to play football...I believe in New Mexico somewhere. I spoke with him a few times over the last two years....seems to be a good kid.
  4. Sorry to hear that...kid's a good pitcher. Hope he recovers fully and soon.
  5. That's because they were deleted by the moderators...along with several others from other threads. : Not really politics...it's a rule that no coach or player bashing shall take place. Spelled out very clearly from the beginning. Which is ashame that politics rules this website......

  7. Ross Hales 7 IP, 13K's, 1BB. NO HITTER. The walk was with one out away from perfect game. Full count curveball that sure looked like a strike. Hales hit 92 on 3-4 pitches.....w/ about 15 MLB scouts in attendance. Bay City batter struck out swinging on wild pitch and throwing error to first ....was promptly thrown out advancing to second on a laser by Thamm, the right fielder. No other men on base for Bay City until the 7th inning "walk". BH only managed 5 hits off of Bay City pitcher, Tomek....who had 7K's of his own. Carmona and Ponder with doubles off the center field wall. Hales and Silva with singles. CF, Jay Burditt with RBI single. Great game to watch with same result as last year's opener. Tough loss for Bay City who has very good squad again this year.
  8. Channelview Glenn Wilson class of 77 All-American @ Sam Houston State..played 10 years in the bigs w/ Phillies, Tigers, and Astros. All-star, I believe w/ Philly in '82.
  9. Let's hope Coop can hold off the rain that's forecast for Thursday. We (BH) open with St. Pius on Thursday at the HC tourney. BH/Westbrook on Friday. Congrats to Todd Wallace on his HR.
  10. A take from the baseball forum...."The field was too big."
  11. I have to agree...Dugat and Powell have been putting up some numbers. I'll take Dayton by 10.
  12. How sad. Prayers from Barbers Hill.
  13. Several of the BCA guys have played with the Houston Red Dogs coached by John Fortesa and Bobby Tolar. They usually have a fairly decent squad. This year I hear they have two good pitchers and a very strong catcher. My opinion is that they will give Anahuac a good test.
  14. I would throw in Robichau and Fontnow from Vidor, along with Adam Broussard at Nederland. DITTO.
  15. If you are hard pressed to find a better staff in SE Texas...My guess, in 4a at least, you may have to look across the state.......or over the river...maybe. ;D ;D ;D ;D
  16. From what I've heard, PNG will be strong w/ Harrington holding a bat in his hands. Man, as a fan you gotta love talent. Lamar is getting a player. Let me have that LCM scouting report tomorrow evening...weather pending. :-[
  17. Well then, I guess you ain't been paying attention the last couple of weeks.
  18. It's on now, Adminbabe. ;D Nederland vs. BH...Region III Finals.
