I agree. BH has really surprised me in the early going, especially w/o Ybarra. I now believe they will be much better this year than I originally thought. Several kids have really stepped it up....most noticeably Jon Daniels and Ian Hamblin. Keep working hard guys. Who are the 4 losses to....Sterling and Jesuit..who were the others ?

Barbers Hill will host a tournament and play in the Greater Houston Ewell Jackson tournament and the Houston Christian tournament.

My son played with Casey Jackson all summer...great hitter and a good kid. Played with Steinhagen this past weekend..Steinhagen is a beast ! I have to go with Steinhagen.

I too agree that Hester will be up there this year. Vidor gave the Hill all we wanted last year in round 1. Of all the teams we played last year, I personally gave Vidor my "Gold Star". Very well coached, kids played with great class and no quit, and the Vidor fans were great....all of that on prom night. ;D Trust me, BH expects Vidor will definately be in the mix come playoff time. 22-4A, tough, competitive district again just as last year. PNG, LCM, Vidor, Nederland...who knows ?

Congrats to Lumberton from Barbers Hill. You guys had a great, not to mention, very exciting season. You made it exciting for everyone. I really enjoyed keeping up with you guys on this site, with your tailgates, parades, and all. Great stuff ! Hope this year's success carries over to the future for you. I believe it will. Congrats to the Broncos from Barbers Hill. I was at the game and left very, very impressed. Very quick, swarming defense. Your QB has 4 turnovers and you still win going away. Despite the turnovers, the Charles kid can flat out sling it. Very impressed with Dugat and Powell at the WR spots. # 33 on D ( didn't get his name ), kid was around the ball all night long. Best of luck to you guys. Looks like you have a chance to make a good run.
