I totally agree w/ ORANGEBOY. You may not get too many chances to experience events such as this. I say go play in the SR League World Series. Must say, reading the article brought back some memories. This same group of Tyler East kids beat us ( Barbers Hill ) @ the Jr. League state tournament to advance to Colorado.

I think the last sentence, the quote...in 643's post sums it all up. Matter of fact, I was ready to comment on it myself...he just beat me to it.  I do not recall him ever saying WB wasn't any good, nor have I for that matter. I think they are very good. Even got to know a couple of them this summer. Fine ball players both and fine young men. I think it's the "hand's down ", without a doubt", etc. that he may be referring to.

IMO, when talking about sports it's always safe to never speak in absolutes...that's why you play the games.

With that said, best of luck to all the players and teams in a very impressive SE Texas region.

I agree ADMIN....although his parents really value education...his mom is a teacher.

I'm not sure about the 4A title, Coach...would be nice. We (BH ) are very excited about our team next year. There are some holes to fill but a very talented nucleus returning...that starts with all 4 pitchers.

The two lefthanders, Ross Hales and Kendall Thamm, were both invited to play in the Houston Area top junior prospects game. Hales was out of town ( playing ball I believe) and could not attend. Thamm pitched two innings. Both have looked strong pitching with their respective summer teams.

You can teach skills...it's called practice, work ethic, etc. You can't teach speed.

BH...smallest 4A school in the state (enrollment ) would like to test the 5A vs. 4A/3A on average theory. Bring your bats your gonna need 'em.

I've look unsucessfuly(sic) for their website. I've only found it by "googling" for local papers. The Orange Leader had it...except for Honorable Mention. Also, go to google, Barbers Hill Sports report..and you can find it there. Hope this helps.

Stepped in for the injured Chase Barrera and had one bad game in the field...vs. FT Bend Elkins in the Houston Ewell Jackson tournament. T.C. will back for 2 more years. After '08, look for Tony to play ss, catch, outfield, and may even drive the bus.
