My two cents..there are high scholl baseball coaches who can coach... their are plenty of dads that can coach.. Most of the better players arrive @ high school ball because all of the dads have been playing catch in the backyard...if they see talent then (we ) find more resources ( hitting coach, pitching coach, etc ) and up it up a notch. I'm knocking coaches by any means ( most have to teach a class, coach at some postion with football , grade papers, etc. Excactly why I'm not a coach..not too mention the long hours they have to put in. With that said, I could not even begin to tell you much BP I've thrown and how many cuts and bruises my body has by prenting to be a catcher, but fact is that's what my son wants so I gonna do it. Same reason I wanted to have kid ( praying for a boy...YES ). I spoil him rotten but trust me he's on the reward system..not talking just baseball..That was more than two cents ...my bad .

I'm prone to bouts of amensia..For last week: BH Ross Hales 5-inning complete game 1-hitter, 11k's, 3 walks, 1 hit batter ( and do mean hit/drilled, felt bad for the kid. 11-1 over Forest Brook, run was unearned. BH kendall Thamm 5-inning complete game 1-hitter, 8K's 3 walks, 0 run. 4th and 5th inning, little ticked off by being squeezed somewhat.struckout 5 of last 6 batters @ 84-88 mph. 16-0 BH over Galena Park

Well said BH89-2...Crosby has an inpressive squad...just lacking real quality pitching ( at least tonight ). If you don't show up with big-time pitching against BH...well you gonna get hurt. Like a dumd^#@ I left your cell # at the house otherwise I would've called you. Give me a shout sometime...I'll keep you updated Friday in the showdown @ NC...beacuse I know your gonna be elsewhere working hard ;D P.S. #5 in your program...#1 in your heart.

BH @ home tonight, as of now, against Crosby who is still in the hunt @ 5-3. Play @ 7-1 New Caney on the rode Friday against J.P. Dean. Should be an exciting week.

I agree this week should be a better test for BH. The coaches and players have both done a good job of keeping each other focused at the task at hand.....winning a distict championship. Run-ruled games are nice but 1-0 victories wouldn't hurt my feelings any. ;D A w is a w no matter how you slice it.

ETBU...just noticed and read your personnel e-mail...ETBU/Mystery Man..apples/oranges..Huffman and BH have had a tense rivalry of late. My son met three of your current players at the Miracles showcase awhile back...made friends with all three of them.basketball can keep all of the smack..one of the many reasons that make baseball great..How is the younger Shmicht(sic) kid doing ? I coached him on a summer team in the past for a few tournaments. Kid can flat out play some ball. speed, bat, can pitch, and a can't lose attitude. If ya'll don't need him, we'll take him ;D

Big Timers, SunDevils, and Houston Heat. Baytown Knights are starting to step their schedule and get their kids some exposure...one of the coaches is a Pitt. Pirate scout.

That may be a big "if"...Although we are pretty good hitting fastball team..it's the "squirrely" stuff that we seem to have problems with. Should be a good one. We (coaches, parents, team leaders ) are doing our best to stress the one game at a time thing. We are not going to look past Crosby on Monday. Crosby has enough talent and heart to really screw up our plans if we don not show up ready to play..same with your team. My son should get the start on Monday...He's fully aware that is an important ball game for us. It's an oft repeated cliche, but we are really trying to focus on one at a time. Do you happen to know which district our district will match up with in round one of the playoffs ?

BH plays @ home against Crosby on Monday...@ New Caney on Friday the 13th

BH Fan, the game has been changed from Tuesday to Monday still @ BH @ 7:00. I'm told the change was because of district track meets. Crosby must have requested the move..BH doesn't have any track guys that also play baseball. The weather may change it again. Also, next Tuesday's game has also been moved to Monday beacuse of TAKS tests. I will try to keep you posted if I hear something different. Bulldog-- Cameron is Cameron. He has 5 or 6 HR's on the season. Best defensive and smartest high school catcher I have seen. I do not no if it's my place to talk of his future. I will say he has a 100% academic scholarship lined up and will probably play ball there. Great kid. My son and I were with him yesterday. His dad is on this site occasionally, maybe he can share more info.

Great job...All indications are a Hales vs. Dean matchup on Friday. We ( BH ) still have a very important game on Monday against Crosby. Look for Thamm to get the start in this one. Keep up the good work.
