They could set new records in, not just failing to meet pre-season expectations, but the vast degree of under-achievement.  :D good luck in the sec 8)
Are you trying to stir up the Ags, bulldog  ;D They ain't fairing too well in their farewell tour against the Horns, either. Football-Horns Men's Basketball--Horns both games Women's Basketball--Horns , one game left to play. Baseball--TBD Men' Swimming & Diving--Horns I think they did take us in Men's tennis.  ;)
...... Well i got nothing to say except everything you said is a valid argument so far. But hopefully Baseball won't be a let down.. It is the one thing i actually had faith in, the other rankings i think gave us to much credit.
The Aggie baseball team is usually pretty salty year-in, year-out... I'm gonna try to catch a couple of series this year when not out of town watching my own play.

The bat (short for Battalion) gave a good baseball preview for us. But that topic is for another thread.
There was also a nice write up in the Houston Chronicle about it. I'm a Horn fan but must admit, Aggieland a great place to watch some college baseball. You got any info on Ross Hales, lefty from Barbers Hill returning from shoulder surgery ? Great kid, hope he's back to 100%. Hook Em !  ;)
Eage07, i haven't heard anything yet, but i intended to go to most of the games so i'll let you know when i find out something more.
Thanks.

Dishon had a single, BH went hitless.
Admin..... How does Long compare to Ross Hales (before the coach threw his arm out for scout pleasure)? I am going to watch them this year, but have not seen Long throw.
Smoking baby....both 6"4, both 90. Big difference was that Hales was lefty. Seems like yesterday when we both witness that last bevy of scouts. You will be impressed with Long and the whole BH team.
Thanks.  Yes, no doubt about the scouts.  I can recall a few games where there were more scouts than opposing fans.  All I hope is we play Montgomery again for a chance to pay-back that loss.  That game was sickening, wind blowing in 30 mph and at least 5 or 6 balls died at the fence.  Different weather BH wins that game by a lot.  Both very good teams that year.
Game 2 ( a 4-2 loss ) wasn't any prettier.  "JR' with a throwing error on a bunt to 1st, just off the tip of an outstretched Hales at 1st base. BH stranded 13-15 runners on base that game. Ocha came within 1-2 foot of tying it up with two outs in the bottom of the 7th with a drive to center.

I had a scout tell me the other day, that Long could turn out to be the best pitcher in Houston area, maybe even the state this year.
Note doubt...we open in San Antonio, forcast changed to 40-50 % thru Saturday night. Must be baseball season.
 17. I need to get out and watch these gals play ball. Great job LadyEagles ! Keep it up.
 18. Finally, game day is almost here ! Best of luck to all of our SETEXAS area D1 baseball players who kick their seasons off this Friday night. We got quite a few of them.
 19. Bad news out of Austin, Texas Sam Stafford out for season. Cohl Walla torn ACL.
 20.
I'll be shocked if anyone around here plays today (or Saturday for that matter). It has rained steadily since about 10:30 PM on Thursday around here.
Yep, must be the start of baseball season. Kinda like the Little League and Rodeo parades, you always count on rain.
 21. This Henscey kid seems like he knows how to hit.  ;) Really glad for him....Colby has had some really bad luck and adversity dealing with "freak" injuries since graduating high school. Keep it up, man !
 22.
For what it's worth my older son is in his sophomore year of college and he is swinging the Rawlings 5150. He used theTPX Omaha last year and hated it. He started off this year using a Nike until they got the new bats. He tried the Rip It (2012) and liked the Nike better until he got his hands on the Rawlings 5150. Really likes the feel and sound of the bat and it has plenty of pop when you square it up!
For what it's worth, none of these bats listed have been able to hit my son's cutter or two seam.......kidding.  ;) Players (collegiate) I have talked with or have been told seem to prefer the Rawlings 5150 as well.

Still good line drives, just no carry. Did hit one 370 but fluke I think. I like the small ball game anyway.
Hook Em Horns !
