Or, did Huntsville handle the press?
I'm not one to make any excuses, but we had way too many turnovers, missed layups, and freethrows in the first half. On the other hand they capitalized off of our mistakes and limited theirs. This was a battle of two aggressive teams and there was a total of 17 fouls (10 on Central and 7 on Huntsville), in the first qrt. I was impressed with # 33 from there squad but the other girls were roll players. When we pressed them they gave it up, but we didn't press until the second half. Ozen should win the region because they are the better team.
hey J, get ur own thread LOL  jk Northshore and Cy Falls ought to be amazing.  We played em both and I gotta go with CF in a close one
When and where is Cy Falls/NS ? Hillguy...congratulations to you and yours on an outstanding season.
Thx...kiddo played after having the flu for 4 days...that stunk but its always a sad loss in the playoffs except for the state champion.  CF and NS should be in Aldine Friday.
That does stink.....lots of tears shed in a playoff loss. Campbell Center..that's right they are all there....brain ain't workin'.  ;)

 4. I'm looking for a high school catcher ( junior this year ) for summer ball. More concerned w/ defensive skills and arm than hitting.

Heard there was a freshman playing for RSS this year
Yes there is. Started at 3rd last night. Solid stick. That's also kind of an indication of how things are going.
My son and I have worked with the freshman at Sterling....Zack Garcia. He is the real deal. Work ethic second to none. Good kid with a good family support system. Big ,strong kid. Mature for a freshman. Can play catcher and pitch also. I've already got him a spot with a summer select team.  IMO, this is a name we will be hearing alot in the next few years.
 7. Congratulations to the Lady Eagles on a great year ! Will be strong again next year. Best of luck to Beaumont Ozen. Go win it all.
 8.
Ok Barbers Hill you got your chance. You got what you asked for now what? Are you going to hate us the entire way or are you going to root for the local area teams like we do? And for the rest of the negative comments ENOUGH is ENOUGH. 10. Ross Hales returned from last year's injury in fine fashion....throwing 6 innings of shut out baseball for the Texas Aggies on Sunday, allowed on two hits. Way to go Ross !
 11. Never could really get in a groove....couple of bad pitches and mistakes behind him had him pitching from the stretch most of the time. First game jitters out of the way.  LOOOOOOOOOOOng weekend.
 12. Way to go Felts ! SETEXAS is proud. HOOK EM HORNS !
 13. "It's only A Bruise"  can't remember the author. I have it at home. About the Oakland Raiders and Al Davis and how they forced team doctors to clear injured players to play. As mentioned by other poster, the Josh Hamilton book is a great read.
 14. I'd love to go but have prior obligations...in Barbers Hill no less. I'll be supporting and cheering by proxy !
 15. Proud papa.....and rightly so. Great job ! I'll try to get the spelling right next time.  ;)
 16.
[Hidden Content] Former Orangefield Bobcat and Texas Sundevil Jace Statum mentioned in a positive way. Congrats to the Statum, Bobcat and Sundevil Families.
I hear Ross Hales, the lefty from Barbers Hill is back to 100%....good to hear...great kid.  The Aggie pitching staff should be very strong. The Stilson kid is something else.
You got that right.
 20.
Jon doesn't get on the forum with schoolwork and practice but I will pass along the congrats.  Yes, I do believe he wants to play again in Houston this summer - I think he has already spoken with Coach Tolan but I will remind him.
Good deal....Let me know if I need to help. Kendall will be playing with Tolan this summer.
 21.
Jon had a great start his first series of games for Delta State.  Southeast Texas boy did good!  Went 5 for 5 with two HRs, Double, 2 singles and 6 RBI's.  Named Athlete of the Week on Delta State's website.  Go Jon!!!!!!!!!!
