1. Great to see Wallace healthy and playing again. thanks 10 for the updates.
 2.
Good stuff HillGuy! I believe the road to Austin for R3 will have to go through Beaumont.  Maybe twice.  ;)
You might be correct.....I'm hoping it goes thru the Hill.  ;D
 3. Region 3 champ might win it all......some very good teams on that list. Good luck to the Lady Eagles !

He could have gone to a Juco but most clubs will not pay big money to a kid that is going Juco... they can draft him next year and wait and see what he does... or see if he gets hurt they are not losing money because they have not paid him.. you can get drafted and not sign... just means if the kid decides to go pro by aug. they have the rights to him.... If you go D1 you are not eligible for the draft till you are a JR... now Gabby has already signed with a D1 school.. Lamar... this could be a power move on his part.... a club is going to have to pay him big money or lose him for 3 years..
You are draft eligible after your junior year or when you turn 21....which ever comes first.  As in Purke's case, he will draft eligible after his soph. year @ TCU. Many kids that project high, sign with a D1 and a JUCO. Check your pms.

LOL...no, he was held back when he moved from Lufkin to Klein. You must not have been on the 6 1/2 year degree plan I had.  ;)
 6. The 25K per year of school left is very often thrown in.......most kids never use it...unfortunately. This basically replaces the draft and follow. JMO, and wouldn't consider $60K big money, especially after Uncle Sam gets his greedy hands on it.  ;)
 7.
They do not retain the 'rightz' to that player.
I think HITMAN had it right...he's saying that have the rights of the drafted player until the signing deadline....not draft and follow like it used to be.
This summer a group of players put together by Rangers scout Randy Taylor (It was mostly a hitting group) played two "games" against San Jac and a team out of Louisiana. In the game against Louisiana, he was 91-92. Needless to say, there was alot of chatter in the stands.
I would imagine....you bust that 90+ mark and things change.......quickly.
There were several scouts there on Tuesday. Gabby was 91-93 consistently. Topped out at 94. Lamar might want to make other arrangements. ;D
what ever club drafts him this year are going to have to throw big money at him if they want him... or they will lose him for 3 years... and hope to get him in the 2014 draft
He could go the JUCO route.

Should be a civil lawuit you guys could file for slander and lying. Not much you can do but she reminded me  of a story about fifteen years ago to a friend of ours. Local Coach was teaching a drivers ed class and young female student accused him of same thing. Was a bunch of BS and cost the man his job and family for a while. At the last minute about a year later admitted that she made it all up. I feel for you and your family bc as a father that sucks. Tell him wish him the best and proud of him the way he has held up.
I will tell him...and thank you.
 13.
LM swept again yesterday, moving to 5-1 on the year. Hemphill's Chris Burdette was the starting 3rd basemen, and Lumberton's Tyler Wilson threw a complete game. LM's next series will be Saturday against McClennan, another nationally ranked program.
Nice work, buddy.  PM me with the details.

Does he have any other offers than Baylor though... Baylor is a very good program but Smith is known to abuse his players chances.
He is bound by a signed LOI. His only other option now is the MLB Draft.
Can he not decide to go JUCO still ? Just asking.....has nothing to do with Baylor...I like Baylor's program and what a quality education. BTW, spoke with Aaron Miller ( Channelview '06, Baylor '09 ) now w/ LA Dodgers over the holidays. Remember his name...kid has a very bright future now that he is back to pitching again.
I met Aaron one time, seems like a great guy and apparently even better pitcher. Eagle, he can still go the juco route if he so chooses as well!
I thought so. Aaron  and his  family are as good as they get.

I thought about calling you but figured you knew...He can pitch with a chip on his shoulder now.....he pitches better that way.  ;) Thanks again.
