2.
North Shore Vs. Houston Madison! Not sure of the year ,but it was my first time to see Vince Young. The game was at the Dome and ended up somethin like 63-61 Madison. Both teams were highly athletic and couldn't stop each other it was just a track meet!!!
I was at this game. Would love to see it again. It was VY's high school Rose Bowl.
 3. PNG w/ Dustin Long @ QB  vs Stephenville w/ Kendall Briles @ QB in the Astrodome. Unbelievable, electric atmosphere.

 5.
Comparing CE King to Ike is a little like comparing Rice to Texas. Refresh my memory on this CE King D-1 running back? Ike has 10-15 D1 players on their team in any one year. It's a whole different animal. Dayton will not be as big, fast or athletic as Ike. That doesn't matter though as we have already established that big, quick and fast do not necessarily always prevail.
Panama....I think that might be quite a stretch w/ numbers.  ;) More like 3-5. Last year's team had two that I know of..Guy and Veazie. I think I'll join BrenhamFan and watch the Ike/Dayton game this year. Should be a good one.
I believe the question is why, not how.  BTW, when I was in high school, I dropped a deuce on the 50 yard line of your field the night before your homecoming game.  Maybe you can use that information to get a real football field to go with your bus barn/stadium.
I dropped 3 right before u got there.  8) 8)

Recruits did their homework back then.  Now you have the Rivals and the other dot com internet sites that hype kids up to the point which a kid can be a 5-Star athlete while wearing shorts instead of actual film study.  Alot of money wasted on paper athletes these days....
I agree, I think the athletes of today are bigger, faster and stonger but they are not even close to being as tough and conditioned as we were. (1980)
Totally agree..  (1982)
 10.
There is no such thing as to much kool-aid in this heat . 8)
You've got a valid point.  ;D

 12.
You know life can be tough for BH fans and I know allot of you are actually crying out for help . Its hard living with all those frustrated knotted up suppressed latent homo fixated hot-dog tendencies. But you know sometimes you just have to think outside of the bun hun and quit living vicariously through the real Alpha team in the district  Dayton Bronco's. OK... now breathe out .. doesn't that feel better .
tooooo much Kool-Aid.  ;)

 15.
How does a 20-10 record get you ranked 12th...strength of schedule maybe? ???
that and name recognition. That school has always had a great sports program....especially in roundball.
 16.
Yes Lee has....me I would venture to guess Baytown Lee has more graduates that have college degrees than Barbers Hill. Tell me who Barbers Hill has graduated that played at a D1 school. I can't think of any at all... Lee has to have had 25-30 in the past 20 years.
I would hope so....since you are comparing a school that just turned 4A....a small 4A at that to a school that had been 5A for years. I would venture to guess that  BH has a greater percentage of graduates w/ college degrees than does Lee. and no Barbers Hill will not win district next year. Crosby, Dayton, BH, GCM, LEE, CE King, GP, North Forest.

If you've never been hit by a ball after it comes off a metal bat in high school then you don't understand.
I wish they were bannd at every level. My son pitches....and it's always in the back of your head. Besides, the big boys use wood.
The reason they aren't is the same reason we were having the conference alignment talk...$$$
w/o a doubt.
 22.
I am going to say the same thing I said the last time this grousing by folks not associated with the Sun Devils came up.  There is no better judge of what the Sun Devils do to help kids than the kids and their parents.  I can assure you that we all believe the Sun Devils make a difference for our kids.  And what is the hang-up with the money?  There certainly are kids who have the opportunity to do things they otherwise wouldn't because of Chip's generosity.  That is a good thing, but that is not the real reason kids play for the Sun Devils.  I'd be willing to bet that any kid who worked out with the Sun Devils coaches even once would want to play for them. There is no doubt that every Sun Devils player owes some gratitude to his Little League coaches.  However, there comes a time when the best players have advanced to a point that if they really want to meet their potential, they need more than armature coaching.  Matt, Jimmy, and JR are terrific coaches.  If you don't believe it, have your kid get a lesson from any one of them and see for yourself.  At the risk of talking too much about my own, I can tell you that I think Trev is a really good player, but I will also gladly tell you that the Sun Devils make him a better player everyday he works with them.  Not one of us that has any input on what Trev does would have him play for any other team - even if the Sun Devils started charging for training time. I've never heard the Sun Devils complain about losing a player to another team.  I'm sure it has happened, but they don't whine about it.  They just coach 'em up and play ball....really good ball.
Amen.
