Very impressive. The guy is for real. The HR was actually on a changeup that wasn't a bad pitch. Down in the zone just a little over the plate too much. Curveball impressed me more than the 100 mph heater.

Excellent post...Better yet, here in Texas you can watch some of the best talent in the nation play at the high school, select, and college level. It's hard to beat a nice sunny day watching the Rice Owls play at beautiful Reckling Park. Over the years, when not watching my own son play, I got to  see Josh Beckett, Matthew Purke, James Tallon, Anthony Rendon, Scott Kazmir, Aaron Miller, James Loney, and many others play at the high school level.

Matthew Viverette , 2010 Barbers Hill grad, has received a scholarship to run track for the Sam Houston State Bearkats. Matt was an all-district DB and QB for the BH Eagles also. Viverette finished 3rd at the state track meet in both the 100m and 300m hurdles.  Sam Houston State is not only getting a good athlete but an ever better person. Great kid ! Congratulations, Matt ! Best of luck !
