1. This team is loaded. W/ the veterans, Dexter Pittman, Damion James, Gary Johnson, and Mason leading the way.  Bradley was listed as the #1 recruit in many polls. Word is J'Covan Brown has looked great.....and the Hamilton kid from L.A. is the real deal....and you got Lucas in December. HOOK EM HORNS !
 2.
:D They prefer to call themselves the Statesman!  The fighting okra are fighting words to the athletes!
Yeah..Statesman sounds alot better. Congrats and best of luck to Jon.

 5. Man, are you sure you are calculating my picks correctly.  ::) ::) ::) Just thankful there's no wagering on Texas High School Football  ;D
 6.
Most high school coaches welcome the exposure, somewhat takes the pressure off them so they can concentrate on those kids that are not Div 1 but need a boost. I hate the scouts don't go to high school games anymore. When they use to come around to see that MLB prospect or Div 1 recruit, they always found that diamond in the rough playing along with him or against him at the game.
If you are D1 material, they will show up.......thicker than thieves. All using a radar gun of their own... You could've been contaminated w/ radiation at BH in '07 & '08.  ;) I'm a baseball guy, so a little radar gun radiation never mattered to me.  ;) I do agree 100% w/ your first statement.
 7. I gotta pretty big back yard w/ only a few trees....... and the pit's made for tailgaiting... parking in the neighbor's yard.  ;D
 8. I've never understood the trend by the powers that be to ban mascot names...like it's a bad thing. You can't call your team the Indians or whatever else cause it's not politically correct, someone might object... What  ??? ??? We think the (insert name) suck..so we shall name our high school mascot in honor of them  ??? ??? Sign of the times...explains many problems facing our great nation today. That's for another forum.....9-11 and Ft. Hood would not happen in any other country. Back to topic....GO PNG INDIANS ! Can't wait for softball season to see the BH Lady Eagles !...and the Ole Miss Rebels ain't that good.  ;)
 9.
Friendswood Fan, What is your definition of a hick? I would classify a hick as a person who wears wranglers, cowboy boots, and always has a lip full of skoal and most hick's can shoot a deer out their back door and guaranteed to be within walking distance of catching some kind of fish.
When I grow up, I wanna be a hick.  ;D ;D ;D
 10.
We played several teams with more talent than BH, some team's match up well with what another team does. Personally, I don't feel we should have ever had to pass because we running the ball down BH's throat. We tried to get cute a few times and it back-fired. Brenham may stop the run and then we will open it up and pass quite a bit. If Brenham goes into this game thinking that all they have to do is stop the run than it will be a long night for them. I want guarantee a win because we have not played a good game in several weeks. We must play mistake free football and get back to winning the turnover battle. We are not good enough to just show up and win. Win or lose, we have exceeded everyone's expectation's this season. We have a good team and hopefully we can keep winning but if not I will definately be looking toward's the next couple of year's because we are loaded with youngster's that will have been playing in this system for more than one season. If this year's team can do this well with everything new thrown at them, just wait for year's to come.
Nice response..I agree totally. I'm actually pulling for the Indians. The crowd support you guys have is incredible. I can promise that you have beaten several teams w/ more size and depth than BH this year....not many w/ more heart. Besides I'm an Eric Harrington fan...GO INDIANS !
 11.

PNG - 40 Brenham - 24
i love that prediction do you have any facts to back that up?
I'm thinking none whatsoever. IMO, this should be one of the better matchups in round 2. Both teams are well coached and play w/ discipline(?) Should be a close one. I got Brenham 24 PNG 20. Best of luck to both.
 12.
To all players on all teams for not hanging on the streets and being punks. I know they are not little angels by any means but being part of a team and working hard hopefully will pay off in their futures, that goes for the bands/drill teams/cheerleaders etc.. You young parents out there, keep you kids busy!
Excellent post, NDN78. My thoughts exactly.
 13.
I figured BH game would be close...if ya look back BH played everybody close. BH was a good competitive team..just didnt have the right ingredients to click on all cyclinders. Brenham will just purely be out matched here...out of their league. If PNG wins two more games, I think we are looking at the State Champs.
I appreciate the props and kind words towards BH. But if you think Brenham will be out-matched or out-manned more than BH was, you are in for a real surprise. The Cubs have much more size and depth than this year's BH Eagle team had.
 14. Props to PNG RB Caleb Harmon......41  carries against my Eagles. One tough kid. Very impressed w/ his performance.
 15.
I wanna give props to the La Porte running backs Kendrick Perkins and Anthony Webb, and also the La Porte defensive front 7!!! Excellent components to a 1st round victory
Also, congrats to Kendrick for his early signing w/ the Aggies...........in baseball.
 16.
Agree.... Odds are... Central and PN-G won by a combined 28 points.  I could easily see Crosby and or Dayton winning today by at least that amount.  The #3 and #4 seeds of 19-4A gave the #1 and #2 seeds of 20-4A all they could handle.
OK.. let me see if I can get this right.  You want to make it sound like 19-4A is the stronger district.  Crosby beat you by how many?  PNG beat Crosby by how many?  You know... I sit here and read all of these post by the folks across the Trinty River.  They spend a lot of time on here bashing out SETX Teams.  How bad there are, how weak their players are, how better their teams are.....  Well  the last time I checked, this was SETX Sports.  Do you live in Southeast Texas?  IE.. the Golden Triangle.  Maybe it is time you boys step up and make yourself a website.  That was you not have to waste your time hearing all of us SETX Teams cry.  How many other people in the Golden Triangle think I am right?
That's pretty funny for someone w/ 11 posts. Maybe you ought to get settled in a little before another tirade like that.
 17. Congrats to the PNG Indinas. Best of luck next week. #7 doesn't have any quit in him....very nice, tough performance.
 18.

Dayton, Crosby, and GCM fans....come join Bh and root for us to beat PNG.  Dayton fans, please wear your white away shirts and not purple, you don't want to be mistaken for a gay dancing indian...... ;)
I apologize to all the Indian followers.......I can guarantee you that all BH fans don't behave in this manner.  We all respect what you have and how you play the game.  I was in attendence at the Astrodome years ago and I know how passionate your fans are.  Be careful on the drive over.
Well said....nice post. There are actually quite a few civil fans in BH. Let's have a good injury free game.
 19.
The Bmt Enterprise reported that the East lanes of I-10 by Wallisville will be closed tonight from 9pm-5am for restriping.  Well, that was last night according to the DOT at Anahuac.  The Enterprise apparently misread the Twitter they got from the DOT.  Everyone be careful tonight and good luck to your team.  GO INDIANS!
I live nearby....I think the re=stripping is on the feeder/access roads not the highway.....They've only been working on it for about 115 years.  :( Have a safe trip.
 20. Nice work Ryker....enjoyed it. Wait til next year.  ;)
 21.
Newton took care of business congrats it was worth the drive. And how about Pecos losing thats a big upset.
Pecos didn't lose...looks like they got it handed to them. Ouch.
 22. Congrats to Kirby and his family. HOOK EM HORNS !
 23.

Diamond-J is right on. Turnovers are the key to winning this game. A few take-aways would help Barbers Hill and the odds of them having (7) turnovers again ain't gonna happen this time around. I hope all the PNG players are as over confident as the guys on this forum, that will work to the advantage of Barbers Hill. Remember PNG had to come from behind in the last minutes of the game to tie up the game on blocked kick to beat a 7-3 Central team that lost to a 4-6 Livingston team, so these guys are giant killers, they can be beat. While PNG had a great year at 10-0, and has every right to be proud of this year, if they get over confident and cocky, they'll have plenty of time to watch Saturday morning cartoons the next day...Ya'll just keep believing these guys are you basic 5-5 team. BH is waiting, Come on down....
People seem to forget we turned the ball over 5 times ourselves during the first game.  BH QB is a very good athlete, he will not be able to scramble like he did in week 0.  Our defense is one of the best in the state and BH will see the progress made from the first game in only three days.
Your defensive numbers are only realitive to your competition, so to say that PNG has one of the best D's in the state is a FALSE statement. I'm sure they are good, but not worthy of the states defenses IMHO
PNG fans do get a little carried away with the superlatives.  That said, Does BH really have any quality wins this year?   Who is the best team BH has beaten?
a 1-point loss to PNG.  ;)
