Congrats to all of these players....especially my boys from Barbers Hill. Jay Burditt pitched an 1 1/3 innings in yesterday's all-star game. Jay also had a very strong showing at the combine on Monday. Unfortunately, Colby Henscey did not play due to an injury. Henscey was hit by a pitch last weekend while playing in the Houston Heat Invitational in Brenham. Henscey will out 2-3 months w/ a cracked elbow.....another tough break for a great player and a great kid. Let's hope for a full and speedy recovery.

Former LCM Bear and Angelina Roadrunner Jerrod Dugas will continue his baseball career after signing with UH-Victoria on Monday, June 15th. UH-Victoria is a NAIA division school that will be playing their 3rd season this year. The Jaguars finished 29-2 in their 1st season and finished 34-17 last year, advancing to the NAIA World Series where they won two games. The Jags are coached by former Houston Astro great Terry Puhl. Dugas is an athletic player who can play all 9 positions and hit for average w/ power. This is a great opportunity for Jerrod and for the UH-Victoria baseball program. Congratulations and best of luck !

Jungmann is the real deal. His delivery and mechanics are so smooth and loose....looks like he's just warming up when throwing the 92-94 fastball. I agree w/ the announcers last night that he very likely could be a #1 pick or 1st round pick after his junior year. HOOK EM HORNS

Joes, also for the record, I didn't call anyone out on this one. They know who they are. Texas is my team and I totally respect LSU. One more win for each and we (UT/LSU) play 3 games for the title, correct? I had my crow as soon as I got to work (I posted above). Texas can hit better than I gave them credit for. Rupp needed to redeem himself for those runs he allowed. How did he miss that pitchout? You are correct about the missed pitchout. I could not believe it......think that's when I broke the TV remote.

I understand rpi and seedings just fine...Do you? 3 of the top 5 RPI teams lost their first game of the CWS. You guys are putting to much stock into these #1 seedings and rpi's. The SEC has 2 teams in the CWS (that are undefeated at this point...and beat 2 teams that were ahead of them in RPI). You do your freakin' homework pal. RPI means squat at this point. I think instead of putting any stock into the #1 seeding, as you put it....I'll just go w/.....what your opinion. Not. Let's all hope for a Gorilla ball vs small ball matchup in the championship... Maybe steak dinners and liquid libations at stake ( no pun intended)...and someone can talk smack while the other eats crow. Help me out here fellow Horns. HOOK 'EM !

LSU They gave ya'll a trophy last night It was the first game of the CWS??? Yes, Texas advances...to an a__ kicking from ASU. I know Texas is not overlooking ASU. Is LSU overlooking Arkansas? You know, I pull for Texas and have not said one thing against LSU, but our fans are arrogant? All the trash talkling is against Texas. Go figure. If you don't think Texas fans are arrogant, then you have been living under a rock. And I have never said that LSU fans aren't arrogant...we are to an extent. I just don't think Texas is very good this year. Nope, that was team first who called us arrogant. I don't live under a rock, I live in a cage. Living under a rock means you make statements like Texas is not that good this year, when they are the #1 seed in the country.....hello I thought it was funny that team first made fun of Texas bunting, and I said if I have to walk to beat you, I will take the win. Then look what happened. Thank you..I think that might just be what got teamfirst the idiot tag...... Nobody said this was going to be easy, but I'll stick with my Longhorns. Close games are part of it. Knowing how to win them takes patience and staying focused. I can guarantee you that Garrido told his batters to be patient, after the fly out, until their pitcher showed he could throw a strike in that last inning. That kid was rattled the inning before. Kudos to Garrido for coaching his players to victory. Yep, I also saw who you beat (Texas State, Boston College, and Army). That's a tough road to hoe right there. LSU beat Minnesota, Baylor, and Southern U, that's a tough row to hoe. : The thing is, you said we were lucky to get Miss. as our first game. I said did you see who Miss. beat to get here? They're tough. we also had to play Rice in our Super...and they are arguably a top 8 seed (they got screwed). I gotcha.
