  1. Baycity beat them twice I believe they may have finished 2nd in their district. Is Rogers hurt ?
  2. 5A Mission Sharyland 4A CC Moody 3A Cuero 2A Rogers 1A Carlisle
  3. As of May 7th, Lamar Consolidated was 17-3 and ranked #10 in state. I believe they won their district.
  4. I don't think Klein and Matthew Purke even made the playoffs...???? Poor editing on my part. I meant 13-5A champs Klien Collins, not Purke's Klien Bearkats. I'll correct my post. I sure hope you are correct about Klein Collins.......friend of mine has a son on the team. ;D
  5. You 20-4A guy's might want to look out for Crosby and Kingwood Park. Either one of them could win their respective series. 19-4A was pretty solid this year. Good pitching and some excellent hitters from top to bottom. We hear this every year about 20-4A, last couple of years, didn't pan out. I'll take BH in 2..... Unfortunate, that Hester is hurt. I hope he makes a complete recovery. Kid has a bright future. I believe Crosby wins their opening round. Go Eagles !

  7. LOL.... Horndawg, I couldn't give you an answer until I saw that the Horns took the series. ;D Seriously, I'm with RIP09...gotta go w/ my boy Hales on this one. Ross was "dealing" from start to finish. An oustanding and dominating performance. To quote Garrido, " There was some brilliance going on out there". Great kid, great family, excellent pitcher. I'm starting to smell some post season recognition for Hales. I left him a voicemail message about two seconds after the last out.....had to "rag on him" a little...come on anybody but my Horns. ;D To sum up my thoughts....one time only because of this special event...here goes.............GIG 'EM ! .....that was painful. ;D No doubt. ;D
  8. Smesny threw the first 5 innings. Colby Henscey with a mammoth solo HR over the lights above the 355 ft. sign and Rocha with a 3-run HR to left for the big 4 run 3rd inning. I thought the Henscey blast might bring on some rain. Absolutely crushed. A tough, laboring day for Smesny...one of those days. But I tell you, this kid's mound presence and composure is second to none. I was very impressed w/ his heart and detemination to keep battling. He has that "something" that you can't teach.....you either have it or you don't. Jay Burditt w/ yet another fine performance on the mound for the Eagles.

  10. Nice write-up, 3A. Well said. I'd place Jay Burditt @ Barbers Hill @ 84-87.
  11. LOL.. Very nice, I had to give ya a hit of Karma on that one. ;D Nice work. OU SUCKS !
  12. Canceled due to forcast of severe rain. :(
  13. The Rockets have the talent to win over the LA Lakers. They won't. The NBA wants Kobe vs. LeBron.
  14. I'd add a couple of the Crosby pitchers as well......Malchar and Driebensky (no way that I have that spelled correctly ). Also, Price Jacobs from Goose Creek has been very solid.
  15. Wandy is throwing as good as anyone in MLB for the 1st month of the season. Berkman has got to get it going. His starting very slow each year is becoming a trend. Berkman started off last year smoking hot. I think he got up to .400 at the time of the first Silver Boot series against the Rangers. He tailed off after that though. Might of been the year before....he just looked out of shape for the early part of the season.....and did not perform well early. Don't get me wrong, I am a Berkman fan.
  16. Yes. We would like to play the final three games on a Friday and the entire play-off schedule on the next day---that way we would only need two pitchers Keep in mind the state semi's and finals will be held on Sunday. ;D
  17. Is this Dayton's latest ploy to have their pitchers fresh and ready to go ?

  19. 4:18 Central Standard Time in Downtown Houston and OU sux as much today as they did yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that, and.........you get the picture. HOOK 'EM HORNS !
