No need to worry about Woodville, They graduated everyone from last Year’s team. All underclassmen very young. Franklin is a different story. They should be the favorite to win it all.

I agree with aTm on this one we must find someone who can spin a ball, and we do have several who can. So putting the right person there will be no problem , can’t worry about hurt feelings. Just do what is right for the team.

As a Woodville supporter,I would love to see Newton, Silsbee WOS, Central,Jasper ,Carthage,Gilmer all in a tournament type format compete at a college stadium SFA Lamar site. To showcase their talent. But woe is me Woodville probably wouldn’t go for it.

Woodville has a lot to look forward to next year. We melted down in the 4th quarter against Rockdale. Hopefully our kids see we can compete with anyone now and make the step forward. All key players return. No excuses now.

After being stuffed with crow. I will say Rockdale is the better team. Woodville had more athletes and was clearly the faster team. But the most important factor was football IQ. There was no comparison. And I agree and have said on many occasion we need a passing game. There needs to be no rock unturned or kid overlooked until we can find someone who can spin a football even if it means someone who is slower but can put a football where it needs to be. Next year is the last shot at a deep run for a couple of years.

Remember these words bigger, stronger, faster. Even our big guys are fast.and don’t worry we have 11 running backs that can go so I hope you are conditioned as well.

There are only a couple of schools that can match Woodville speed wise and neither are in our path. Our size strength and speed of our o line will dominate the game. This game will open some eyes.

Ha Ha it might be but it might be just the beginning. The wdv fans were treated to the real wdv team and coaches Friday night. Most could not believe the physicality and brutal emotions displayed by this team and coaching staff. It wasn’t for the weak at heart.

Colmesneil will be ready for this game. They cancelled 3 powderpuff teams before season to put 3 powerhouse teams on schedule to prepare them just for this moment. Will be a close game till kickoff. Tenaha will only win by 80.

If I understood right wdv 7th grade, 8th grade, and Jv all went undefeated in district. Is there any more proof needed. Wdv is a school like Newton WOS and Carthage. There is no down year only reloading.

I can’t blame anyone for picking coldsprings. For Woodville it is put up or shut up. If the goal is to be a state contender you have to put up numbers like a state contender hence Newton . You are right these coaches come from winning backgrounds and expect to win so you will understand when I say only 2 or 3 rounds deep in the playoffs will still be considered a failure . It takes a winner to teach someone how to win when they have never been exposed to it. Trust me these guys would love to put some points on the board.
