I was impressed with the speed of their 7 on 7 team. They should have a good season when they get settled on a QB.

TopDowG is right. BS is going to blow through their district. HD has a good team but BS is going to be a real issue. We have played them twice and split. The Big Guy is for real. We played Spurger, they have a good team with the Whittaker's but are going to struggle with BS. I hope we have an opportunity to play BS again. The battle between HD and Spurger could get interresting.

Relax, it summer league. But the game will be worth watching, summer league or not. BS has a really good team and so does Silsbee. BS's team is what they will have during the season. The Silsbee team will get much much better especially when the coach gets involved.

With the exception of Kountze and EC everyone has gotten better. Kountze lost a lot and will need to mature to get back to where they were last year. EC has Thomas and that may be enough. Warren is loaded with seniors and that is great for this year. I really believe it is going to be a dogfight for the playoffs. So I am going this way. 1. EC- coach, the same talent level as last year and Thomas 2. Warren-coach, shooters shooters shooters, will surprise everyone with the D 3. Kountze-coach, hustle and tradition (for Dickie) 4. Anahuac-this is where it gets tricky. Inspired new coach and athletes 4. Hardin-a good balanced team 4. Deweyville- with the addition of Jackson they will be balanced and solid 7. Buna-better but not there yet EC will be the team to beat. 2 to 6 will be decided by a war. It is going to be much fun next season. The first time in a while most everone will have a chance to make the playoffs, and go far.

Depends on what kind of pitching you have. Weak pitching give me speed. Strong pitching give me the bats.

Kelly Carter was at Colmesneil last year. I understand he has gone into the private sector. He would be a good fit since his dad and brother had much success in Brookland.

I agree with consistency. Whatever is done it needs to be consistent. Whsalum, I think was more concerned with players who have not been playing in district games being eligible to play during the breaks in district games. I can sure see that point. It is something that the district committee should look into.

What's the lesson here. If you don't do your work and get laid off you still get paid holidays. Sorry, I feel that if a kid in ineligible at the break he/she should be ineligible during the break and untill he brings his grades up. It is very rare that if a kid goes to class, does his work and turns it in he fails. If he does all that and still fails you will find there are other issues.

It was Caleb that I saw. Like I said from what I saw it was his passing that I liked. He may be a great shooter I just didn't see it. Anyway, he and Bland should compliment each other.

I have seen this numerous times. I agree it should not be permitted. It certianly makes a mockery of the no pass no play rule.

From what I saw of Jackson last season, his best asset was his passing ability. He and Bland should compliment each other.

Yep, DP#1, he would be playing center in Warren too. That's one of the problems with trying to get a scholarship coming from a small school. But, he can do it if he works hard and keeps his grades up.
