Alllsports. I have no problem with your definition of "best". I am married to that kind of coach. But, she will never be called one of the "best" because she doesn't have the record.

You make a good point hawk, we all seem to have a different definition of "best". I voted for Sutherland because he has proven himself to be a winner and builder of winning programs. He and others seem to have run some scores up and I have a problem with that. But that doesn't mean I don't respect them. I am a Bobby Knight fan and he can also be a jerk when he needs to be. In competative sports sometimes you have to be a jerk, or lack class to be the winner. And if isn't about winning turn the scoreboard off. If the definition of "best" is a class act, nice guy or teacher of morals that may be a whole different list.

WH has been playing well, Spurger doesn't seem to be the team they were couple of weeks ago. Even at Spurger I'll go WH by 12. Should be a game worth seeing.

I thought this post was about Hardin and Deweyville. And the question still remains. Has Hardin got that much better in two weeks or what's happened to Deweyville? If this post is about Warren and WH. Warren's guards controlled Copeland and Letsinger for 28 minutes. With Warren's guards in foul trouble Letsinger was able to hit some really nice 3's and pull the win out for West Hardin. I could have easily gone the other way. So who's better, we only know about one night and that night Letsinger was. Next time, my money is on Warren.

Thats true Friday, Getting the most out of what you have is the goal. You must be able to teach and motovate. And you must be able to WIN! Which mean you have to know the game. It takes different talents at different levels. But since we are talking about high school varsity, I believe Todd Sutherland sets the standard.

It was a good game. Thomas is fun to watch. Warren is not where we need to be yet. Handled the press okay and had minimumal turnovers. The just need to mature. I have to comment on the refs. Their mechanics were awful. They called no 3 second calls, no 5 second call, only one charge (and it was questionable), no traveling or palming. Warren went to the line 4 times in the whole game. The foul count was lobsided untill it was obvious EC was going to win. The second half inbound was from the backcourt sideline, what's up with that. I think it's poor training on fundimentals. The more athletic team being quicker gets the breaks because the refs are out of position and not taking responsibility for their area. Anyway no reflection on EC they deserved the win, and like I said Thomas is a great player. (and before you say it, I was a ref years ago before I got old and fat)
