1. I'll try and get some stats up here when I can!
2.
[Hidden Content] This should help you, if you have not looked at it already.
Thanks, I'll definitely check this out.
3.
Played the right competition!? IMO that is fairly irrevelant but, they did beat Brownwood and Snyder. Would love to see Monahans win, but don't think that is going to happen. What type of offense does Argyle run? Who are the key players to listen for during the game Friday??
Argyle offense is very hard to stop. We spread it out in shotgun with Austin Aune, a TCU commit for football and baseball. The receiving core is led by Chadd Bossow at Tight End and Ian Sadler and Adam Khan at Wide Receiver. The Running Back, Tyler Eveleth runs behind 6-6 280 lb Trey Keenan. We like to run the read draw option as well with Aune and Eveleth - Aune is very mobile and will tuck it and run.
4.
Not to make any excuses, but our offense was down the last two games before WOS. Sherman had the flue, he was playing both ways because Trapp broke his neck and is out for the season. Monroe was banged up and the starting Sr guard was out with sprang ankle. The O was healthy and back in playing action when they played a very good WOS team.
In reference to the playoffs, I am not doubting any teams ability I am just giving my prediction. If more information is necessary I will give my opinion on it and back it up. I believe that Coldspring is a very good team I just wanted to get the facts straight.
5. Argyle wins this one. I just think they have proved themselves already and this will be, in my opinion, their second weakest opponent in the postseason thus far.
6.

One other thing have the Oakhurst matchups, thus far in the playoffs, been against good teams or has your team played bad?
You really dont need to worry about Coldspring were overrated !!!!!!! You will be better off going to Kirbyville and watch them play basketball.  Lol
So what should I be looking for then? For Wimberley to whoop y'all. Shall I be the one cheering for Wimberley?
7. Check out www.highschoolsports.net. They use the same college algorithm to determine high school sports rankings. Argyle - 2 Oakhurst - 5 Wimberley - 6

9.
Argyle might want to take a lesson from UH and not count your chickens before they hatch.
The difference is Argyle is not overrated.
10.

Who wins this game to play either oakhurst or wimberley?
Stayed in Monahans a couple of years back....a few miles west of Odessa, Tx....nuff said...they only play football...
But the question is have they played the right competition to be able to beat Argyle? Compare the recruiting for both schools and let me know what you think.
11. I disagree with the AP poll because it is wrong in college most times and changes very often. Plus, I looked at some of the teams and some of them don't deserve to be in the top 15. But hey, keep that thinking up. Feel good about your team.
12. I have heard from many people that the winner of the Argyle-Gilmer game was the favorite to win state. I like our odds from here on out.
13. According to highschoolsports.net the past three games Argyle has played have had a combined ranking of 22. Prosper - 12, Carthage - 9, Gilmer - 1. Numbers don't lie. That's neither here nor there. I'm sure we will be talking a lot next week about whatever match up comes about. Good luck to Wimberley and Coldspring and may your game be injury free.
14. Yeah, haha we definitely got our tougher matchups out of the way. Not discrediting Monahans but Carthage and Gilmer are two elite east Texas football programs. Carthage was the most anticipated matchup since they knocked us out last year and we wanted to get revenge. Gilmer was ranked as the top 3A team in Texas. I'm not saying Monahans will be a breeze and we really shouldn't look past them, but I can definitely say they don't have the talent like Carthage and Gilmer.
15. Excellent post! 8)
16. Sounds like you guys have your own issues down there. See y'all at state.
17. Like you said maybe you shouldn't look past Wimberley
18. I guess you didn't see that we knocked off arguably the two best 3A teams in texas. Just sayin. However, you are right I shouldn't look ahead. The two recent teams Argyle knocked off were ranked better than Monahans at all times.
19. Yeah Argyle is stacked this year. Best team I have seen in the school's 13 year history.
20. Who wins this game to play either oakhurst or wimberley?
21. See you guys in the state game after we defeat Monahans. You had better bring your best.
