I understand what you are saying.  Hypothetical -  What if Hitchcock had not worked a Box & 1 all year.  As a coach, I would be more apt to play the game that my team knows.  Obviously his game plan was successful because of the win.  I know that if I had not worked a defense all season, I would be very nervous to implement it in a playoff game for fear of it getting exploited.  And I can imagine that if a kid is good enough to get 52, then his team has probably had some experience attacking a box & 1.  I really just think that the kid had a great night and Hitchcock overcame a tremendous performance by a good player. 

Source told me that the East Chambers Girls Coach was re-assigned out of the Head Girls Basketball Position due to low numbers in her program.  East Chambers has made the playoffs every year that this coach was there, including this year when her program was slammed with injuries.  (Overuse Injuries???)  She officially resigned Tuesday.  This is the SECOND EC Basketball Coach to be let go in 2 years.  Last Year, the boys head coach (who happens to be the girls head coach's father), was let go because he was forced to get a CDL to drive a bus.  I wonder if every coach at EC has to have a CDL?  He won his 600th game last year and then let go.  In my opinion, for East Chambers to be known as a basketball school, they sure are making moves like they don't want their basketball programs to give the impression of overshadowing another program.

Have friends at EC that say they will be good but basketball is not as important to them as it used to be.  I will be at there next game to see for myself. Does anyone know why their coach from last year left?

Heard EC has really been working on their power lifting.  I wonder how that will effect their basketball.
