They need to win out and Orangefield needs to beat Bridge City by more than four points. If this happens than Buna should advance...Gotta win out with a little help to make the turn. -
Think about somebody may make it in this district with a 4-3 record...might as well be akin to a .500 record in this district. Generally in this district 2 of your four wins would be considered non-challenging and 2 are considered equally matched games. Anyway just seems so watered down now...IDK todays society say lets make as many people as possible feel like winners! The world in general is not that kind. I say it all starts in little league where everybody needs a trophy just for getting on the field. When I was growing up you got trophy's for real achievement and you went to the playoffs, it was because u were district champs or atleast runner-up. Not trying to offensive to anyone just saying.

Kountze has done a great job of spreading the ball around on rushing...have about 4 guys who do most of the work on the ground. It also helps when you have a couple of very Mobil "vick type" Quarter Backs in the game...so the ground yardage gets very well distributed and it comes from multiple packages. Makes it very hard to key on anyone individual or anyone certain package.

East Chambers is going to take it's frustrations out on Kirbyville and win that game moving East Chambers to 3-1 and Kirbyville to 1-3 in district. According to the Professionals Newton will give Kountze it's second loss in District moving Kountze to 2-2 in district. Woodville will beat Anahauc moving Woodville to 3-1 and Anahauc to 2-2 in district. Now this set up makes the rest of the district very fluid for the 2nd and 3rd. playoff spot. A win by Kirbyville over Woodville by more two points and a win by Kountze over East Chambers and a loss by Anahauc to Newton puts Kountze and Kirbyville in tie for second via the points and head to head with Woodville and East Chambers. If Kountze losses to EC but the aforementioned happens between Kirbyville and Woodville than I believe that would put EC in second and Woodville In third. This would make the game with Kountze and Kirbyville become key and as well as a final weeks victory. If Kountze beats Kirbyville and Woodville takes a loss to Newton and Kountze beats Anahauc the last game of the season than it all goes back to a Forecasted Woodville loss to Kirbyville by more than two points . If that did occur the playoff picture would be Newton, EC, Kountze. If Kountze were to loose to Kirbyville than Woodvilles destiny would be tied to the game with Kirbyville and If Anahuac beats Kountze it will also be tied to Woodvilles game with Anahuac. there are many situations to play out in this district for the 2nd and 3rd playoff spot...It ain't gonna be over till the last week for Kountze, EC, Kirbyville, Woodville or Even Anahauc unless Kountze drops one to Kirbyville and Kirbyville drops on to Woodville or looses to Kirbyville by two or less. If that occurred than It will be Newton, EC and Woodville leaving Kountze and Anahauc to battle for the forth spot in the final week. NOW THIS IS FUN!
I hate for you to have to make any corrections or rethink all of that, but Woodville just beat Anahuac putting both teams @ 2-1 in district.
SORRY...LOL! meant to put Hardin and the only thing that changes is the part of a possible loss by Kountze to anahauc bring a possible battle for a tie for the fourth spot in district mentioned in my final words.

If the score gets out of hand than as a coach I would play to preserve injury. If score in the 1st indicates a dog fight than as a coach you have to stay in the fight. FACING THE GIANTS...great movie...the funny part is giants do fall. Newton is very good and Kountze is a building program amped in young determination. 74-0...68-07...63-24...100-0 (not that anyone said that...just dramatics, but someone did say they could score as much as they wanted so why not a hundred) My point is simple, if your Kountze go into this game with the intentions of winning, pick a dog fight with a bigger stronger but predictable opponent, sink your teeth in and don't let go, but at the same time this is just one battle in the war. Winning the war is akin to making the playoffs, so you can't afford to heavy a losses for a lost cause either. I love football and the simplicity of the physical side and the strategical metal side of the game and balance of that can sometimes snatch the prize from the jaws of victory and deliver a mouth full of defeat.
That's a movie that does not happen very often in real life.. Newton will win this game by whatever they want to win it by. Kountze has not a played a good team yet this season and they think they are good come on be realistic... Newton is going to dominate this game just like they do to Kountze every season
I think by my statement I am not making any statement of domination or for sure victory...as a matter of fact I think I was being pretty real in my over sublimation of the situation. I will restate the obvious without any fluff dialog. Kountze will play to win, but if Newtons strength and physicality prevails early in the game and to continue to play with our starting mind set means to sacrifice injury and the rest of the season than one has to retool the game plan. Look It is a fact that great teams get beat by lesser teams...FACT, but I am under no illusions as how good Newton is and the possible outcomes of this game.
