True. That would definitely be a twist at the last game after Friday.

Actually, if PAM loses, LP is the 1 seed due to no three way tie & the win over BH. đ If PAM & BH both lose, LP 1 Seed & outright DC. If BH wins & PAM loses, BH & LP Co-DCâs, and LP 1 seed. If BH wins & PAM wins, BH, LP, & PAM are Co-DCâs and BH is 1 seed, LP 2 seed, PAM 3 seed. LPâs actually in the catbird seat with no less than Co-DC & 2 seed and finished with district play. Not sure if a bye week before POâs is good or not though.

Pretty big drop off for sure.

I remember experts picking LP 6th, and I said no way. Stepp was the outlier. Butâeven he only said 4th. LP has returned very quickly under Berneathy & staff to former self. With the talent coming up & returners, future looks very bright again. Just have to see about alignment.
-
Now that Iâm thinking about it, if BH wins & PAM loses, LP is also 1 seed due to head-to-head & no 3-way scenario. BH needs to root for PAM & themselves. LP can be 1 seed if both PAM & BH lose, or if just PAM loses.

Weird is 10-5A today. Manvel & them guys are all scrambled up.
-
Except LP would be 1 seed if yâall both lose.
-
Berneathy was already talking a Saturday game. I guess thatâs what heâs anticipating anyway. The rooting sure changed in the last week! đ¤Łđ¤Łđ

Okay. Still a little confused. BHâwith a winâwould get a home game. LP will get a âhomeâ game regardless unless LP loses to BYE next week. Correct? (This is where I really should be rooting for Porter & KWP.) đ
-
Huh? I thought if BH wins next game, theyâd be 1 seed & get a home game against Tyler or Lancaster? LP can finish no worse than District Co-Champ & 2 seed with a home game.

Was worried about their focus. They seemed to be okay with that. But, PK needs some serious juju. LOL No injuries for either team that I saw.
-
Wish I could find out. LP seems to always hold stuff close to the vest & Iâm not very connected anymore. Just a fan. Bunch of new homes & apartments/townhomes. I assumed a lot were younger families with younger kids. Maybe not. Of course La Porte is open enrollment also. That may be part of it.
-
Announcers on LPSportsnet just mentioned LPâs enrollment had the largest jump in a long time. No specific number given though.
-
I have no idea who half or more of the boys playing for LP are right now. But, good for them to get on the field!
-
âŚand back at yaâ Ha!
-
Looks like LP will wrap up at least the 2nd seed.
-
Lotta subbing. Good. Letâs get this game done w/o injuries to either side.
-
Wind is a big part of it.

Port Arthur Memorial (23) @ Barbers Hill (52) - FINAL

Congrats BH! This game was a clinic. Eagles came to play tonight. I didnât see PAM really get any pressure all night & BH tore them up. -
More important? Larrys and Joes or Coaching

Wouldnât go that far. The Larryâs & Joeâs arenât much good if theyâre in the wrong place, or wrong position. They also canât make their own in game adjustments. If straight up & optimizedâyesâLarryâs & Joeâs. But, like combat of a different sort, nothing is ever totally optimized. Just thoughts of an old man. Pay me no heed. -
From what Iâve seen of the BH run game, just not sure theyâre strong enough to take pressure off Fuentes & the passing game. If PAM can play their typical 425 & slow BH run game, BH is in trouble. PAM is weak up the gut against the power run unless they stack the box like they did against LP. This will be the chess match. If BH can throw in some pistol where their RB (Rodriguez I think it was) can hide and make PAM read the guards, itâll buy Fuentes some time in the pocket and PAM will have to crowd. If they just run their normal pro type sets, PAM is talented enough defensively this year to nullify and sit/pressure on the pass. Since I havenât seen BH live at what is full strength D-wise, not sure how theyâll stack up. PAMâs run game is solid. But, not like LP in that itâs not a power run game. Martin & Baker are speedy and hit the holes quick. They go down a little easier than LPâs Barnes, Sandolf & Bright. Canât really compare the RBâs as theyâre fairly different styles. Neither teamâs OL fires off downfield like LPâs. Different styles. Theyâre more adept at pass pro, but can open lanes at the LOS. PAMâs receiving core is very solid. They anticipate & make excellent downfield routes. Best deep balls Iâve seen in district play. Not big. But very good hands. Not many dropped balls. The 3 or so minutes around the half against LP totally changed the momentum of our game. When LP missed the TD opportunity in the redzone ahead by 21 and going for the kill, then missed the FG, went into half, came out & fumbled the KO return, PAM jumped. BIG. At least a 13 point swingâŚpossibly more. Momentum was PAMâs, and they never looked back. (Of course, they also began stacking the box at that point which was also big.) Seeing both against a common/solid opponent, PAMâIMHOâis the more dangerous team. But, they can be had if a solid team eliminates mistakes and makes them play straight up. TOâsâas usualâwill make or break this game. JMO Iâve got PAM by at least a TD in a fairly low scoring contest for these teams. Say, 28-21. There may be weather. If wrong, Iâll be back to congratulate BH where the Scientist dude doesnât get his feelings all hurt. đ

Naw. When warchin them thar cruise ships with all dem mobile homes on âem, we like our own homemade brew. YâŚBillyBob was warchin some last year, and he thought we was listenennn to Jerry Jeff Walker, got all excited and such, and lit the whole darn beach on far. Shoot. Couldnât let a good far go to waste. We broke out dem Ballparks an had a Partie! Some dude from PAM showed up an burnded his hand. Doofus! Leave it to a PAM fan to bring a Vienner sausage to a gol darn bonfire⌠SMH
