Can you give us some more details?
I wasn't able to attend. Sounds--from feedback--like the practice with PD was a good exercise for both teams with LP being able to play 2's and others significant time to check depth. D sounds as advertised. Sounds like the replacement LB's were a smooth transition. Personally, I was slightly concerned about this area losing so much experience. Run game seems on point. New QB did fine, but still needs more time to get used to game speed. Apparently, showed the skills necessary to add another dimension to LP's attack. Don't know score. Don't care. It was an evaluation/practice game. No significant injuries. Sounds like a good scrimmage for both.
Sounds like another poster from another site.... Wasn't able to attend, but feedback seems to be pretty positive. I--personally--was slightly worried about LB play on D. Sounds like the transition was made without a hitch. Pearland Dawson was a good opponent for a scrimmage. Good squad. I understand no significant injuries. Good news. Hard-hitting. Good news. Understand the run game was on point. Understand the QB is still getting used to game speed, but had some good throws. Sounds to me like D, run game on point. QB has the skills necessary to add another dimension. No significant injuries. It was the first time they played against anyone besides themselves. If you look on this site, everyone is giving there opinions on how each team fared during the scrimmages and PAM fans have done the same. Wow, jealousy is an evil soul... Never Say Never
This is actually kind of funny when you re-read your response. I'll laugh my rear off when Deer Park beats PAM this year. PAM fans seem to think the only game is Week 10 against LP. It's pretty much all I hear on this board and others. LP fans seem to be saying every week will be a battle. Different mindset I guess.
Sorry I fell short of your expectations. To help me do better next time, what part of my response was off the mark? Was it the "PAMmies" term? If so, what is the appropriate term? PAMites? -- too close to parasites PAMelas? -- saw that elsewhere, but just doesn't sound right PAMmers? -- too close to spammer and Monty Python PAMs? -- simple, but of course has the cooking spray problem Appreciate any insights you can share. BTW, Manvel starts its "BIG BOY" schedule week 0. When does PAM start playing "BIG BOY" opponents?
We started doing that in 2002, first year of existence, in recent years BIG BOYS schedules seem to be full when we call to schedule a game. Weird aint it? hmmmm
I actually don't see PAM's schedule as a bad thing. I thought it was more to keep the Beaumont Bowl tradition going for local fans and to get locals excited about their teams for football season. A community thing. Just me though...

Only issue is their style is also spread and quick strike in 2012. Not sure they could outscore LT. I'd look for teams that could control clock, play solid D, flip the field. Limit LT touches similar to Katy/SLC 03. I did find it interesting you mentioned Katy could beat LT when LP beat Katy in 2011 and--if a rematch occurs--would put $$$ on LP again in 2012.

Well, La Porte bowed out. Still pretty impressed with a running team going to Champ Quarterfinas in 7 on 7. Should be an interesting year. I'd say between Manvel, PAM, LP, the area is well represented. Can't wait for pads!

Great job PAM! It'd be funny as heck if PAM won consolation & LP won Champ. Big plus for 21-5A exposure.

Oh thats right Beaumont schools do win over PAM in every sport.
Not sure how you can even come close to saying 21-5A was weak when there was a rematch in the Regional Finals for 2 of the teams, and 1 other lost to a State Finalist that barely lost in the Title Game.
