1. Congrats Nederland!
 2. What's the score now of the Dawson game?
 3.
That linebacker for y'all #44 has shined and will be all district at least. Also if Vidor confused the D then the game film wasn't studied well enough because SC has the athletes. Coach should have changed some stuff up. Maybe different stunts but by the score I don't think he was worried about Vidor getting some yards. Bend don't break. And pour it on them with the O.
Agree, that #44 is Mark Domio
 4.
If Vidor had some real speed in the backfield, they could have made things more interesting. Any time Vidor broke one SC would chase them down.  Vidor couldn't seem to move the ball when the field shortened.  Most of their yards came in the middle of the field.  Although SC defense has done a solid job, they're sort of a "no name" defense. No one has shined to star level yet.
We have a good group of Dline and LBs......Mark Domio has shined along with Josh Williams, Dakota Allen and Wallace Jackson who is an absolute stud when he's focused....remember our Josh Williams was predicted to get 1st or 2nd team All state  this year according to Texas HSF....but i understand what you are saying, there is no big name, but that front 7 or 8 shines..

Usually, All-District picks aren't announced until after each individual district teams are knocked out of the playoffs. The selections have already been made though. I hope we don't see 20-4A's selections for another 5 weeks.  :)
i was always under the impression all district picks were made when the final teams representing the district got eliminated , then the coaches would get together the following week and make the picks , again im going off of what i was told years ago , i know things have changed .
Yes I thought that is how it works also....and a coach cannot vote or nominate his players correct?
 7. LaPorte in this one lp- 20 bush 10
 8. Before the season started i predicted SC to lose to Dayton, and SC offense would have to rely solely on our defense, because our O line is young
 9. I hope 19-4a all district don't come out for a while, I'm talking after Dec 22nd..... :) But my 19-4a MVP Offensive Player of year is Gregory Hogan Jr , Summer Creek
 10.
Yeah, agreed.  Except I'm pretty sure he didn't take 7-on-7 seriously, but should have. Crosby would be one of the only teams this year that tried to throw on his side.  And I still feel a lot of those catches we OLB's responsibility.  I think BH did the same thing with the passing game in the flat...can't remember.  He used to be a receiver during his first year on JV and seems to still have an offensive mind set more than a defensive attitude.  Keithron is my man.  He's got a lot of fight in him and isn't pushed around.  He tends to get under the opposing receivers' skin.  I really miss Najee at safety.  That guy was a killer on the field. Off the subject, are you as amazed as I am that SC is as good as they are this year?  I sorta expected a drop off after losing our senior players last year.  They guys not only didn't miss a beat, they're MUCH BETTER.  I'm expecting a decline in play next year after guys like Greg Hogan, Keevon, and others head to college.  I wish I could have seen more of the JV games to get a since of our depth.  There's surprisingly a lot of Juniors on this year's team (obviously some key ones like Aaron, Dakota, Jordan, and Torrey), but I'll be real curious to see if the 20123-2014 team is as unstoppable as we are this year.
Our seniors This year are wayyyyyy better than last years seniors.....we will still have a solid team next year. We will have to develop  a couple more wrs, and find another back to help Jordan Braden....and I know we have no problem doing that
 11.
Georgetown is a solid football team, but their slow.  This plays into SC favor.  ill be making the drive up to watch this "awesome" SC team that could pass all over any of the top Region III 5a teams.    My Tigers play friday, ontop of that i will get a double header with a Dawson and Stratford game.  Ive watched a lot of football over the last 45 years, and i can tell you that the only team built to win a state title this year in 4a R3 DI is Dawson.  I guess i will be able to revise that once i see SC again (Saw them play dayton)
Yep. We sure can pass in 5a, especially if you give us Katy lineman ;)
 12. Look good to me, SC with the win :)

They have talent pools twice SC size almost, and we wouldn't be able to compete with that.....now if you talking skill players, our skill players can play and start at any one of those schools...that's why we beat Northshore every year in 7 on 7..,,.you give SC Northshores and Katy lineman, and see what happens....Dline too. 8)
according to the number, Katy only has about a 700+ enrollment advantage over SC.  North Shore has a nearly 1700 enrollment advantage. SC has nearly the same advantage over Dayton.  Dayton recently beat a team +800 advantage.  The differences aren't huge.  Schools with 1800 kids use to play in 5a against teams like North Shore and win.  Its about partcipation.  Katy exibits almost a 35% male turnout.  thats huge.  And success brings better quality players.  need to look no further then Donovonn Young from Humble High coming to play his last two seasons with Katy.
You have people moving to Katy and Northshore specifically for sports. Donovan Young left humble due to coaching. I can get him on phone right now to tell you that....
I know the young man well, and his father.  It was ALOT more then coaching.  But i won't devulge personal information on the internet.  You win their cowboy.      and people move to Katy for the sports and education because it is the BEST.
Actually Aldine ISD education is the best you ask me ::).  They move to Katy for Football, they have lineman every year, but I wonder why Katy never have kids go to college on athletic schlorships
Because their not good enough.  But a team full of athletes usually doesn't go all the way.  Ask Ike, Humbles of the 90's and early 00's, Westfield, Spring, Hightower, etc.  They dont win championships like us because they are player based, not program based.    We will build better teams, because its more then just Football.  If you treat the kids like horses to be plugged in to win, then you will get some few astonshing performances.  However, you will almost never get a well oiled machine that works as a total unit.    Talent is probably about 10% of the equation, the rest is your message, system, and commitment to doing things the right way.    Aldine ISD is great only for at risk students.  Kids that are really smart, go unchallanged in that district.  Katy ISD, and The Woodlands ISD are the best for the individual student.  Humble ISD could be, if they stopped playing politics.
Sounds likes you are just going by demographics, honestly all the districts are teaching Texas Teks, which prepare them for the standardize testing, which ranks Texas 47th in Education due to testing. Now I will say Katy and Woodlands parents have  the means to supplement their education through  Kumon and Sylvian learning....which will help inhance any child's academic success
No.  They give their students the Teks test, and a majority of them pass because they have a solid Elementry through middle school education program.  Their high schools, don't teach to the test.  They teach to the students.    All Schools are not the same, and i can assure your that the my kids didn't have to go to Kumon or Sylvian to get supplement education.  We just had great great teachers.
There are great teachers in every district, with different variables to work through in order to teach their children. However, the TEXAS education system is still ranked very low. Therefore you can't say what schools are better. Aldine has schools that are ranked very high. Mac Arthur and Carver high school was ranked Nationally. It don't matter how you look at it, TEXAS is ranked 47th and that's not good

That brings me to another point, I'm sorta perplexed by how the opening match ups were drawn.  Shouldn't the best teams (undefeated/district champ) get the easier opponents?  SC sure looks like we got a 1, 2 punch out the gate.  I think Nederland, BH, and Crosby should write SC a thank you letter for taking the tougher opponents in 4A D1 thus far.
CE King didn't make the playoffs. SC, DAY, CRO, BH That's the way the D1 / D2 brackets turned out this year. Enrollment dictated that scenario.
