he got an offer from baylor when he visited this wknd. i'm surprised the aggies didn't offer this wknd also when he visited. he's the top rated player in our district. 200 career receiving yards in over 20 games on 15 catches. from what i read he does very well at camps and on his visits.
Well not that we are competing, but Dakota Allen may be highest rated soon.
Dakota only has 2 stars right now. If he balls hard during the spring and summer he can get a third star. Aston, Austin, Raelon, Sharp, and JF already have three stars. Feuerbacher would have four stars but he's a tight end and they aren't as valuable as receivers, offensive tackles, or dbs. Dakota has a couple problems though. One, he doesn't have great tackle numbers for a dominant middle lb in high school which could be due to SC blowing people out and their opponents having to throw a lot. Second and more pressing is that at barely over 6ft he doesn't have very much top end speed which limits his 3rd down ability on the next level. I think he'll play at that 245 range in college and if he can get a little faster with that he has a chance to be a very good FBS linebacker because he scrapes, fights off blocks and fills very well.
Hit your refresh button ;)
;D
Deunte Chatman ,running back for Summer Creek, class of 2015 ran the ball 3 times for 120 yards in Summer Creek's spring game.Today,I timed his 40 at 4.49 and he is 6'1 210lbs and bench-presses close to 400 pounds. You can look him up on youtube.com ,too. This weekend ,he will camp at Baylor on Saturday and Texas A&M on Sunday and at UT camp next Sunday.I think it is time for him to start receiving some offers. He has a 3.9 GPA and just took his ACT and SAT tests
He did a good job in Spring game at RB! I just feel he's better at LB, he's a big kid but need to work his speed for that RB position. Our fastest RB is playing WR, and that's AJ Jeffrey. I still believe Ford will put him in back field before its all said and done..... -
The link at the bottom are the official results from from the Nike Football Training Camp in Dallas. A lot of the top kids in the southeast region of the country attended. This camp is what made Dakota Allen hot, he's ranked a ridiculous 14th. Most interesting name on the list to me is SC rb DeUnte Chatman who ranked as the 2nd best 2015 prospect in the state. Kid rates like an SEC level back, only problem is I don't even know if he can play. He ranked 34th overall though. To put that in perspective KD Cannon who is widely regarded as the best receiver in the state is ranked #71 overall, Austin Walter is one spot behind that. I thought it would interesting though. [Hidden Content]
Yea KD didn't really test well...Dakota and Chatman did well at the camp. They saying Sharp didn't run 40 hard because he was in track and definitely didn't want to pull anything, and being a QB a lot of times that testing doesn't matter....why the QB Aston wasn't there with his brother?

What position did Tech offer Peterson to play? Looks like he's going to move inside on the next level.
I guess somewhere on the line, he plays offensive lineman
All eyes on SC as they should be. Our defense will be IMPROVED this year. Have some really strong players returning and some joining varsity. Biggest concern is the DB's. Lost two seniors, but have some good players in the pipeline. Our linebacking corp will really surprise this region. Offense ...the Greatest Show on Turf continues. Biggest concerns are at RB. I still believe our returning guy was a better receiver. We also lost a big play receiver in Greg Hogan ...and 3 year starter DeQuann "Birdman" Ruffin. We still have all sorts of depth at wideout. Most notably Torrey Johnson. He's a big play guy with incredible hands. I've seen him snag some one handed catches. The district is locked up. Barbers Hill game will be interesting. I'm expecting SC to put some big numbers up to make sure BH has no more bragging about playing us the closest last year.
hey!!! DemDawwgs, Your back!!!!!! We missed you

I guess they thought he'd make a good safety, lol.
Lol, I heard that too. I think they want him as a WR,
Its kind of a shame, call me crazy but I think Sharp would beat out Heard and Swoopes for the starting Qb position for the horns.
Beat out J. Heard? Yeah, you're crazy. ;) J. Heard (if Ash has a hell of a year and leaves early) will be the starter in 2014 IMO. I think he's a better dynamic at QB right now than Swoopes and Ash from UT.
I thought you might be skeptical, honestly it might just be rose colored glasses on my part. This coming from a dedicated Texas fan, Ash will start through 2014 because it is highly unlikely he would leave to the nfl after his junior year even if he put up impressive stats. Ash doesnt have the skill set that most nfl teams look at and even if he is really good I doubt he gets better than a 3rd round grade even after his senior year. Both Sharp and Heard look about the same physically, about the same weight with the former about a half inch to an inch taller and have slender frames that they would both fill out. On the athleticism side, Heard is in the high 4.4's in the forty and Sharp is in the low 4.5's, though Heard is a more polished ball carrier. Where I think Sharp wins is his composure and patience in waiting for his receivers to get open down field, where Heard looks like he gives up on the play really quickly and takes off for the first down (Admittedly, he is really good at that, so I don't criticize that too much). Also, Heard benefited quite a bit in 2011 and 2012 from excellent blocking, which Sharp really hasn't had quite the same luxury, so I think Sharp has more experience in making something out of a broken play and with his arm more often than his legs. Additionally, Sharp's passes are noticeably more accurate than Heard's from what I've seen of both of them. Look at it this way, in 2015, both Heard and Sharp are going into their RS freshman year and both go into spring practice on relatively equal standing, with Swoopes being the front runner after being Ash's backup the year before. There is a strong chance that Swoopes won't improve his arm enough by then, making Heard/Sharp a more attractive option after showing what they can do in the spring scrimmage. The coaching staff will probably call it a close race between the two for the start, but ultimately Sharp will prove that he is a better fit to run Applewhite's offense. Again, I could be extremely biased here and just really want to see Sharp in burnt orange. Both those guys have really high potential, but I think if Sharp ties up the loose ends he will be untouchable.
The job is Swoopes to lose imo. 6-5 and almost 250 already and was mowing people in the spring game even though he should still be in high school. Still a raw passer like Heard is but other than Foster Sawyer and JT Barrett I haven't seen a better prospect come out of the state in the last three years. Texas only offers who they feel is the best qb in the state that year and Sharp isn't quite there.
You are absolutely right Cougar14, Texas passed up JOHNNY MANZIEL because they offer who they feel is the best QB, and â€look at him now†I'm not saying they should pick up Sharp, but they passed up Brandon Harris and he is polished. Heard can run the ball..
Brandon Harris is from louisiana, that's why they didn't offer him. JF is good but it's Sumlin's offense that's letting him shine, that's why they have guys like Bridgewater and Boyd ahead of him right now.
It don't matter if he's from Louisiana or not, Brandon Harris is still better than Heard..... And Johnny is better than Ash....nobody is better than Bridewater and Boyd No check your inbox

I would consider that a soft verbal though. Jordan Feuerbacher, (TE) K. Park, got an in-house visit from Jeff Banks of the Texas A&M coaching staff. No offer yet but the A&M boards say he wants to really be an Aggie and I think his parents are alumni. I did read that from A&M posters so make of it what you may but he's probably close to an A&M offer.
I don't think that's a soft verbal for Raelon, I believe if Sharp don't commit to Baylor this weekend, he will commit to Utah....Ofcourse this is hear say
Raelon is rated as one of the top 20 receivers in the state. The only reason I think he went ahead and committed was because Brian Johnson is the OC now. Brian is from Crosby and grew up around the corner from me in Section 10 so he has some pull over here, plus he's only 26 I think so he relates well. Much like Feuerbacher all him committing will do is go ahead and make the other teams who had you on their "next best" list go ahead and offer which is why I think Jordan will get the A&M offer. Teams don't stop offering scholarships when you commit. Raelon might start as a true freshman and get 500 career targets if he does sign with Utah so there's major upside there but its cold, you play in the high altitude(which you would eventually adjust to), and Utah is getting hammered in the Pac-12 right now. Raelon has 8 FBS offers right now but of those Utah is the only school that plays in a BCS conference so he's playing against USC, Oregon, Stanford, and UCLA instead of Memphis, Southern Miss., East Carolina and Central Florida. True the BCS goes away after this year but IMO that's going to be worse for those schools not in the Pac-12, Big 12, Big 10, SEC and ACC. I just think if he gets a good Big 12 or maybe even an SEC West offer he could decommit. Now that he's committed he probably won't do much camp work so he's free to play basketball which is actually his sport of choice and probably aided his decision. IJS, if he goes out and puts up 12 or 1300 yards which he is very capable of in our offense I doubt he goes to Utah.
I read an article from Rivals where Raelon say he's solid. He said he will not visit any more schools, and he also said Utah showing the most interest......but we will see....do you think the twins will stay at Rice?
