  1. 3rd Batter............flys out to Jason Clark!! BC wins 6-3!!!!!!!!!!!! Great game Jason Clark!!
  2. Dishon still on the mound. 9-1-2 slots up for Needville. Dishon gets a K!! With a offspeed pitch. Two OUTS left for Needville. Fly ball out to second.........2 OUTS
  3. Warner flys out to Shortstop.....................1 OUT. Dillion up to bat.........draws a walk. Bases loaded. Bolton to bat..works a full count.......hits a sac fly to center-right scoring Robertson from 3rd. 2 OUT Score now 6-3, BC up. Runners at first and second. Dishon to bat...full count...works a walk. Bases loaded......Hicks up next........strikes out. Going to the 7th.........BC 6-3. Hold em Cards
  4. Come on Cards.....put some more across the plate.....can we say "insurance"? Runners at first and second........Warner to bat. No OUTS.
  5. Stringer gets a hit.......replaced by Leger...and warms up in the bullpen. Robertson puts down a bunt.........everybody safe!! No outs. Willey to bat......works a full count........ then gets a hit scoring Leger from second. 5-3..........which brings on a pitching change for Needville.....they are going with the pitcher from game 1 Hajdik, a freshman.
  6. Whew.....only problem is Needville hits the speedball.......get your bender working! Next batter hits one to the wall in right, scoreing the runner from second. Batter goes to second with a rbi double. Dishon gets a K...............end of the half inning Score.......BC 4........Needville 3 MIDDLE of 6th.
  7. Shallow fly to left .......not caught.......two runs in by Needville, with the batter going to second. Come on Johnny!
  8. Clark had a great game......4 hits, two walks, 5 K's. Dishon strikes out the batter that he started out when the count was 2-0. The difference in speed I like......going from mid 60/70's now up to mid 80's with Dishon. 2 out.
  9. Top of the 6th. One out, two runners on due to walks. I would love to see Clark be able to finish, but I hope the coach does not leave him in too long. Dang it, as I typed that..coach made the change...... Dishon in to pitch.
  10. Jackson gets a walk.....and has a pitch runner.....guess they learned after his two dingers so far. Breaux gets thrown out at second on steal attempt. At the end of 5 innings..........the Cards are up 4-0
  11. Cards are playing my kind of ball!! Dillion reaches on a walk......takes second on a wild pitch. Bolton bunts Dillion to 3rd, ....and is safe at first. Dishon hits to second with Bolton on the move. Bolton is safe by a hair, Dishon out at first. Hicks up to bat.....come on guys get these runs in!! Hicks drives the ball to center...scores runner from 3rd....Bolton to second. Two outs. Bolton scores on a wild pitch!! Cards up 4-0...........Jackson at bat..........two outs.
  12. Clark gives up a walk. Clark gets his 2nd K. Groundball to short gets the runner at 2nd. Two outs....runner on first for Needville. Clark gets his 3rd K!!! Come on Cards......increase the pressure and get a few more runs!!
  13. Willey with a 2out hit is on first.......Warner at bat. Willey steals second........finally we continue to exploit the Needville catcher's arm. Warner strikes out...... So after 4.............Cards 2-0
  14. 3 up 3 down......for Needville. Moving to the bottom of the fourth........Cards still lead 2-0. Time to build the lead......get the bats working Cards!!
  15. Junkball pitcher is not a slam on Jason. Its a type of pitcher that will not overpower you.....but you will see a lot of different spins on the ball......mostly off speed curves and sliders. This type of pitcher usually produces a bunch of grounders and pop flys. Its hard to drive the pitches hard if they are kept low. So far, I give Jason an "A", just a couple of pitches have been hit hard enough to call drives. BTW, I think Jason throws in the mid 70's.
  16. Groundball out to second. Retires the side. Cards still up 2-0
  17. Needville has 1 out, with a runner on first with a base hit to shallow left field. Runner moves to second on a wild pitch.........then Clark gets first strikeout...2 outs. Next batter bangs a liner to center moving the runner to third....so first and third with two out.
  18. I am not sure....have not heard.....maybe none. As a junkball pitcher......looks for lots of grounders and a few pop flys. That is assuming that he keeps the ball low.
  19. Warner bounces one off the wall, scoring a runner (Robertson) from first who had drawn a walk. Cards up 2-0............two out.
  20. Jackson goes long!!! Cards up 1-0.
  21. Jasper!!! Those dogs are going on a two game roll!!
  22. I did notice we exploited the Needville catcher tonight....positive change that worked and rattled them some. I also noticed that we pitch ran for Jackson, good move should have happened last night as well. I think your best pitcher for tomorrow will have a lot of "junk" in the closet. A fastball pitcher won't be successful as they have shown they can hit a fastball and will sit on it if the junk is not working. Walks just sit you up for the "small ball" game. We need to settle down, try to play error free, drive the ball to the gaps, be aggresive on the basepaths and "push" the game. We have the guys for the physical part of the game, we need to have them prepped mentally as well. Believe in themselves, have confidence, a "want the ball" mentality.
  23. They still have a bunch of pitchers...Clark, Cessac, Lemoine, Dillion, Bolton, Leger and some I have left out probably. The real question is what is the status of Hicks?? My best guess that if Hicks can not go tomorrow, it will be Bolton or maybe a slate of pitchers. I don't know what the confidence level of the remaining pitchers is. Some were "dissed" earlier in the season.
  24. For the third game?? We don't know yet. At the end of the game the coaches were meeting to flip for home and which umpires will be behind the plate.
  25. Way to hang in and get the job done....CARDS!! Now who will pitch tomorrow??? Will the icedown get Hicks in shape to pitch, will Bolten have to come in to start game 3?? For those not knowing, Hicks left the game with a sore back. Stay tuned...or show up tomorrow...1pm!!
