Top of 3rd...........with two outs, Warner drives one to centerfield which scored two runs and moves Jackson to 3rd. so first and third, two outs, Stringer up to bat. Just noticed the pitcher for Wharton is the freshman Looper who pitched the first game.

LaGrange up......bottom of the 6th. Shut 'em down, Jasper!!! First batter........gets a walk Second batter........sac bunt moves runner to 2nd. 1 out. Third batter.........gets a walk.....runners 1 and 2nd. Fourth batter.....pop fly out.....runners stay put. 2 Out. Fifth batter......ground out.......no damage!! End of 6, Jasper leads 4-3.

Jasper to bat, top of the 6th. Time to get some runs to increase the lead! First batter........base hit.....Texas league fly. Second batter........sac bunt....moves the runner to 2nd. 1 out. Third batter.........fly out to left center......runner stays on 2nd. 2 out. Wild pitch, gets the runner to 3rd. Fourth batter........strikes out. Jasper lead stays at 4-3.

Bottom of the 5th, LaGrange up First batter........Out Second batter........ground ball.....base hit Third batter.........line drive......base hit Two on (1 and 2), 1 out. Fourth batter.......ground ball through the infield, scores one, runners move up to 2nd and 3rd on the throw back in. Fifth batter......ground ball through third, scores the second run on the play, runner gets thrown out on the play. Two out, runner on third. Sixth batter......fly ball over Hart, scores another run, with the batter taking 3rd. change of pitchers for Jasper......Parsons must have tired. New pitcher Stevenson Seventh batter....strikes out. Jasper leads after 5 complete 4-3

LaGrange batting.......bottom of the fourth. First batter.......grounds out. Second batter........gets a double down the line. Third batter........strikes out. Fourth batter.......strikes out. Jasper still leading 4-0.

Top of the 4th. Jasper to bat.. First batter......thrown out at first. Second batter....gets to first on a groundball to short. takes second and then third.....on passed balls. Third batter....(Reagen).......strikes out. Fourth batter....lines out.

Bottom of the 3rd. LaGrange at bat. First batter.......flys out. Second batter.......strikes out Third batter.........gets a infield hit. Fourth batter........gets a walk and on the pitch.......runner goes to second and then to third on an error by the catcher's throw. Two outs, first and third with runners. Fifth batter........strikes out. End of the Third...........Jasper still up 4-0.

Top of the Third. Jasper to bat... First batter.........gets on with a infield error on groundball to shortstop. Runner goes to second on a past ball, trys for third on the play and gets thrown out at third. Second batter..... strikes out. 3rd batter.....strikes out. So halfway through the third....still Jasper 4-0

LaGrange's first batter flys out. Second batter strikes out. Third batter gets a base hit...(LaGrange's 2nd hit) BTW, Parsons is pitching for Jasper. Jasper picks runner off of first for 3rd out.

To recap, Jasper's half of the second inning. There were a myraid of errors on LaGrange's part plus some good hitting on Jasper's part. Jasper leads 4-0, halfway through the second.

I will be around awhile.......so I guess. Had to finish off some things here, so can't make it to Baytown in time for that game

Coop, what does the weather hold for us on this fair Friday in the Houston area? I sure hope the thunderboomers stay away so we can see some Friday baseball. Thursday was going pretty good until the BC Cards got interrupted by the light show. After the game was called, the rain started.....not too hard but it fell lasted on the drive back until about Winnie. There was a bad wreck at the turtle Bayou turnaround on I-10 that had traffic all snarled up on the way home, I hope everyone was okay. BC Card fans, keep supporting the team and use extra caution on the trips!!
