They did announce that at the game, but KOGT has info on thier website that says the second game will be played 30 minutes after the completion of the first. Maybe they have a better weather report then we do! I just hope they get to play!

A great game, only to be interupted by mother nature!! No real bad errors on either side.......just BC bats were getting more hits. Funny thing was.....Wharton coach complained about Dishon being too far forward in the batter's box......ump draws a forward line in the dirt.....next pitch Dishon hits one out to left center field!! That is the second time I have seen where the ump "bothers" Dishon in the box and the next pitch he hits out of the park! The only improvement is BC needs to hold the runner closer at second base, Jackson does not have a chance to throw them out when they take off from half way. Overall, a good start.....just need to wrap it up tomorrow! Hope the weather is nicer!!

But we don't need to go to Bmt to get to Baytown. Hwy 73 to Winnie is like 40 minutes, then onto Baytown is what....45 minutes. Staying off the Interstate in Bmt is a lot safer, btw.

Time to destination will depend on driver habits and traffic!! That said, here are directions to the football stadium, the baseball field is adjacent to it. From the east travel west on I-10, take HWY 146 South, take Garth Road exit and make a left on Garth Road...follow Garth to deak end into Decker, turn left on Decker as it turns to Market street. Travel on Market one fourth mile and turn onto MLK Drive/ Stadium. The stadium is on the left. These directions are from the Goosecreek ISD, they advised that the game is being played at the above location. Edited to change instructions..........Garth Road has too many Red Lights!! Leave early......drive safe!!

tigerpride........you represent your team/school very well. But my heart and my support have to be for the Cardinals in this series. I never wish someone plays badly so that my team will win. I like to see them both play well and the Cardinals prevail. With that, I still wish you the best of luck and look forward to a great series.

tigerpride08, Did your team play any "warmup" games between the end of district and now?? Of course, being "runners up" in our district did not allow time for a warm up game, unless you count Splendora.

It is my understanding that the games will be played at Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown...otherwise known as Baytown Lee. I believe it is on Market street and is reachable by going down Garth to the end.

Whoops!! I stand corrected it was Texarkana Liberty that stopped Carthage last year.

Carthage was pretty good last year and they let Cameron Yoe slip up on them. That is who they are facing again this week.......Cameron Yoe!! After meeting some of thier kids (good kids, btw) at the state semi-finals last year, I wish them the best and maybe they can do it again!! If not, it will be time for the winner of this game to take them down! Lets go Cardinals!!

Just because you are the only one, don't let that keep you from participating here!! Its good to get some fresh posters from out of the triangle as well!! The best way to have the area represented well is for both teams to play up to thier potentia!! It would also be a treat for the fans! Good Luck!

tigerpride......I wish ya'll the best, but have to pull for my Cardinals in the playoffs. If the coach's scouted the last two games, then they have missed a lot as well. We have a couple more pitchers that were not exposed in those games. The winner of the series will be the team with the least errors and that gets the timely hits. I won't give away any trade secrets and look forward to some good games!!

BC had fewer errors which was the key to the game. Stringer had a good game, Parker did as well....really only hits were top of 7th inning. Good game......wish I had been there.......but had to be in Austin for other Bridge City kids!!
