???????????????, what happened to Warren in Woodville today??????????? I know it was just a scrimmage. 3 quarters played Spurger 52 Warren 20. Anyone that seen this game give me your opinion.

warren will do ok, but i am not sure if they are going to be the team that gowarriors wants them to be.

Catman: Don't know if they had all their players their, but on 11-6 Spurger and Chireno went to Brookeland and played 2 quarter games. The only two games that Brookeland won was against Chireno. Chireno left their with 4 losses. Chireno is surely not the team from last year. Spurger's varsity 5 wins & Spurger JV 2 games and 2 wins. All players on Spurger's varsity had lots of PT.

Will Big Sandy be playing anywhere on 11-9?

If Big Sandy plays up to their name, Brookeland doesn't have a chance. A matter of fact if they have their worst game ever, they'll still should beat them by 20. I seen them play on 11-6 and they didn't show me much. Sabine Pass may want to talk with Brookeland about a game.

IF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE BOYS THAT WAS ON JV LAST YEAR, SP. IS TROUBLE. I THINK WH WILL BE ABLE TO HANG AROUND WITH SPURGER AND HD JUST BECAUSE OF TYLER. BUT I DONT THINK THEY HAVE ENOUGH TO STAY THE INTIRE GAME. I STILL SAY ITS BS, SPURGER, HD IN THIS DIST.

Big Sandy and Spurger are the only two teams from their district that are not posted for an upcoming basketball schedule. And by the way I did post Spurger's, but it's not showing any more. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

If hashaw is the tightend on the football team he is every bit of 6-4. They have alot of size on football team,dont know if they all play b-ball.

EC vs WARREN Kountze vs WARREN Spurger vs BS. Just to see how the young guns are going to react & and see one of best big man match ups in this district.

Here is what I see from Spurger this year.Whittaker (Phillip) is going to be the focus of the O. Little Whittaker about a half inch taller,plays bigger than his size and has a little more skills than Wittaker #1. He just has to get adjusted to the V. Spurger has three players that play the wing pos. Fast and shoot very well. 1 soph. 2 seniors, all played on the Varisty last year. One of the seniors we did not see much of last year because of attitude problems. He did not play any district games. 4 guards will split the load. 2 freshmen 2 JR. All can run the off, but I would not be surprised if one of the freshmen gets more of the load by the time district comes around. In my mind he is that talented. This is just my thoughts on how its going play out for this team. Should have good team D. also. Good luck to all teams in this district!!!!

Spurger had two to graduate, Jacob Sheffield & Tanner Sheffield. And going back to counting on the freshmen. I didn't say the freshmen are going to make the team, but they will help out a lot.

Spurger will have two guards (a junior & a freshmen). The freshmen, McGallion & Whittaker has played together since they we're in 2nd grade. They both played on the varsity summer league team in Woodville this past summer. Spurger will do just fine!

How did they do in their tournament this past weekend?

I don't know the kids on the Warren team very well,but knowing Carter like I do they want over look any of the teams they will play. I can't wait to see this district play out.

I think a lot people is going change their minds about Spurger after they see these younger players in action. They are going to make this team better than they was last year.Spurger will win 50% more of there games just for fact of the depth they added this year. Still a very strong district, I believe it will be :1 BS,2 Spurger,3 HD.

I wasn't trying to start mess w/SP or you. I was just stating my opinion that I didn't think the transfers was studs last year. No, I don't play but you can bet that I'll be in the stands. And if you can't get some control, then you may be sitting on the side lines also.

one_love & hooters you both must be from SP. How are the two transfer JV players going to make that much of a difference added to the V-squad. Have they improved tremendously from last year?
