South Beauregard had to play Deweyville and the two 70 year old refs. that couldn't see or hear and needed a scooter to get up and down the floor. I'm from Spurger and I became a fan of South Beauregard the night of this game. Even though Spurger lost to S. Beauregard, our team didn't have any negative against them. They showed good sportsmanship and had a lot of class. South Beauregard seems to have a very good coach and is well disciplined. They really impressed me. So if South Beauregard destroyed Spurger by 19. What would you consider that Spurger done to Deweyville by 21?

Great job Spurger Pirates. They had one loss against a tuff South Beauregard, La. team. The Pirates just didn't have one of their best games w/ S.Beauregard. They actually had had a few games, even though they had won them, that they just wasn't playing to their capability. But today they finished the Tournament strong w/ a win over Starks and Deweyville. based on Deweyville Tourn. for next wks. rankings. I think Kelly should be somewhere on the list. I don't know what their win-lose record is, but these girls had a 4-0 record in Deweyville, pretty impressive group of young ladies. Bridge City 3-1. Deweyville 0-4.

Congrats to all the teams! Way to go Spurger Boys, glad to see ya'll playing ball again. Been asleep the last few games, but today ya'll woke and done a great job. Spurger 10-3 To the people standing around talking, that they thought "Spurger would be better than that" based on the first couple of games of the tournament. I hope that ya'll were their to witness the real Spurger Team in Action.

Way to go Spurger Boys ( Phillip, J.T, Pate, John, Daniel, Chase, George, & Shain) As of today December 8, the team is 10-3, 3rd place Broaddus Tourny & 2nd place Deweyville Tourny. The boys have been not at their best the last few games, but today they woke up and played very well.

I heard that Starks lost most of their players from last year, but does anyone know anything about South Beauregard? 4 of the Spurger boys went to Lamar camp this summer w/ a few boys from South Beauregard. Don't know much, except that they could shoot well.

I agree with WHSALUM not much difference in these two teams. The only difference I think is phillips play on the inside.

I watched Tarkington play this weekend. Warren will have to keep there cool because these guys slow the game down to a crawl.The half time score against Cherino was 10 to 7. Tarkington has no one outstanding player but they are well coached.
