HF 19 Decatur 20 F HF finishes pool play in a 3 way tie at 2-1 with Stephenville and Decatur… based off the tie breakers it looks like HF gets bumped down to # 3…. Not sure what the tie breakers are. West Orange Stark drops their second pool play game 13-14 to Lorena and now is 0-2 in pool play.

Happens all the time with coaches… There are a few that have coached in SETX that had some flags similar to the situation but still get jobs. It’s not just coaches for what it’s worth.. teachers to.

As we are about 2 months out from the first non district game to be played so that we can pass the time I wanted to start a thread of discussion of which teams have the toughest non district slate schedule for this season based of the DCTF pre season rankings I’ve seen floating around already.

Kountze has 5….1970,2004,2005,2007,2025 I think you under value some of the non PA/Beaumont schools… 2004 Kountze and 2017 Silsbee should be up there… but everyone has their opinion

Sure they could have higher expectations… nothing wrong with that considering the tradition of the program… but that wasn’t the case with a lot of the fans they were out for blood and were terrible towards Coach Hickman… A lot of it was uncalled for.

Hardin will take a decent step back… I don’t think they beat the brakes off Woodville… not saying they won’t win… but beat the brakes is a bit dramatic IMO I agree Newton is head and shoulders better than anyone else in the district

Yup… that there was no way that the talent level had dropped and it was 100% on the head coach that they weren’t winning like they should.

Interesting score from last night… 4A D1 Sealy 5 Bullard 8 F Game 1 I believe Sealy led 5-1 a good bit of this game. I was honestly thought Sealy would sweep this series but boy was I wrong
