I agree with the first part… I either watched or was at every Bellville game this year…I honestly didn’t think we had a legitimate shot until probably the start of the second quarter vs Silsbee in the third round…. Mainly because of how last year went… Losing to Madisonville in the second round left a bad taste in the mouth of this Bellville team I believe… With the exception of Wimberley they have dominated every team they have played this season. Win or lose Friday it’s been a great season. After this season what’s in store? Well we only lose 4 starters on offense and 4-5 on defense I believe with some younger guys waiting for their shot from a good freshman and JV team. I’ll say this 4A D2 only gets tougher next year with the addition of Lorena,Brock, China Spring, and others

I also wanna add that absolutely nothing is gonna happen regarding to the so called “Complaints”

Wimberley definitely had a good strategy… not sure if Gilmer has a QB that will lower the shoulder and run you over but that seemed to give us fits… that and Wimberley had the best O line I’ve seen this season

I’m curious what people think about this one… polar opposite offensive styles… a lot of speed on that Gilmer offense. Figured on this message board I could get some less bias opinion and outlooks than on Smoaky… my brain hurts trying to have reasonable football discussions on that board.

Not taking anything away from Gilmer but I feel like they weren’t that good…idk I feel like they were playing with house money at this point in the season if you get what I’m saying. I just feel like Gilmer was just a good bit better than them

So what your saying is that it’s possible for someone to move to another school other than athletic reasons ?

I also agree that the biggest addition so far appears to be the homegrown freshman

For the record and someone correct me if I’m wrong… Kountze has one kid that moved in from Beaumont… The kid from Warren went to Kountze most of his life and moved back this year. The good freshman has been in Kountze. It’s not like the transfer portal in college lol
