In the Kountze Hardin incident I believe the UIL allowed the coaches to hand out punishment for the players that were involved

Not to jump ahead… but they are gonna be hit HARD by graduation after this season.

The home games ain’t what they used to be in the new gym… but still get okay crowds… back in the early 2000s those were the days to catch a home game… when Ozen, Hardin Jefferson, or East Chambers came to town you couldn’t fit anyone else in the gym..

I remember that game in Kountze @AggiesAreWe… I remember Jake Dobbins getting subbed in and made 2-3 3s I believe and the Silsbee side was going nuts

That was the year Kountze had Devin Bray and Roman Walker… that Kountze team was pretty impressive… it was the third round they lost in… Wasn’t really a upset Kountze as ranked 3rd and New Waverly was #4… I remember getting to that game 2 hours before the game at the Livingston middle school gym… they shut the doors around a hour before tipoff because it was already full. Kountze lost the flip on what gym to play in and New Waverly wanted a smaller gym.

Hope onalaska goes D2… would like to see them vs Kountze to see what they got

I don’t think you understand how down Kountze was… it’s not the same…

A Silsbee fan did start this thread… But let’s be honest…other than maybe last season (Which in my opinion Silsbee probably would’ve won by 25 ish) What benefit would it have been to either team to play? It’s not cherry picking it’s wanting to play when it benefits both teams…

If you look at the current state rankings… and current playoff projections the only teams that are projected to go D2 that are ranked are #7 Palestine Westwood #8 Slayton #15 Onalaska #18 Paradise #24 MP Chapel Hill All the other ranked teams are slated to go D1… So yes I’d say Kountze has a very favorable path to the D2 State Championship

They haven’t played them yet… Kountze does have a win over 3A #2 Tatum who beat Westwood earlier in the season…
