Your right nitro, scrimmages don't matter but I would like to at least see these new prospects. Big Sandy made it to the Regional Semi-Finals and got beat by Martin's Mill by 10. West Hardin made it to the Regional Finals and got beat by Martin's Mill as well. I believe Hull-Daisetta lost in Bi-District to Broddaus.

Well coach you would know....I guess I was simply misinformed and could've sworn that that is how it went. Coach Foster didn't want us bringing up games in the past since we had the tournament to prepare for so I really never asked him, but I asked my fellow senior player on the starting 5 how it went and that's what he told me. I apologize, and yes you're right, Brandon put on an amazing display of basketball those first few minutes. I was doing everything right but they were just good shots, I distinctly remember when he made that first 3 and I was picking him up a step below the 3, then on the next one I was goin to make him put it on the floor and run into our help defense but he still made it and was 3 feet behind the 3 point line. There was nothing I could do, it was basically as if I wasn't even there, but still I was doing everything right and I generally don't question my defense but right then I wasn't sure I was doing anything but getting in the way. This year will be an exciting year, with all the talk over at Sabine Pass and seeing how Copeland adapts to handling the ball more, it will all be fun to watch. I am really on the edge of my seat and waiting for these games to come about! If "ima shark" is so persistent that it won't even be close between anyone but Big Sandy, I am kind of anxious to see this season get underway. I still can't understand though how he thinks that if a JV last year that couldn't beat BS's JV is supposed to just roll over everyone of the Varsity's but BS. Do they have any scrimmage games that are close by that maybe I can go see this hidden talent that I guess I must have missed last year??? Does anyone know of any scrimmages?

This is kinda off topic, but how did BS do tuesday night??? I heard they had some scrimmage games against Central, Broddaus and Legget...I may be wrong but I thought they played tuesday night.

You should worry because the kids on BS JV that ya'll and HD lost to last year are on the BS varsity now. And because if ya'll do make it out of district, the teams dont get any easier as you go in the tournament. Making the jump from JV to Varsity is alot faster, bigger, stronger, and definitly more skilled.

You put it pretty plain and simple here, what you're saying is that every 1A team that plays ya'll is going to lose except for BS. So are you predicting a State Championship here son, unless you plan on meeting up with BS in the Regional Finals and losing, which you clearly said every team ya'll play that's 1A will lose EXCEPT for BS. I'm happy for you that you were fortunate to make varsity at Sabine Pass, and I am also happy for you that you only lost 2 games last year, both to BS's JV.....now since when did we start putting our better players on the JV???? I'm terribly sorry but you're not goin to be able to hang with BS varsity if all they lost were 2 starters and a couple of bench players, ya'll lost the entire starting 5 for your varsity and last I heard the starting 5 on a schools varsity are supposed to be the best players that school has to offer.....now what makes you think that a few JV players from Sabine Pass, who lost to the BS JV last year, will be able to beat BS varsity, as well as every other 1A team in the state?

Son, if I could understand what it is that you're typing I might be able to answer your questions. And as a matter a fact I did read the standings right and I saw where you put HD and Spurger as a toss up for 3rd and 4th, I gave you credit in that you were able to count to 7. Congratulations! My high school playing days are over, I played for BS and have this playoff experience that you're dying to get, believe me the playoffs are nice but you have to back up all this talk on these forums with performance on the court first. Poor kid can't spell, I can't understand one thing he put up other than the standings (and might I add that we can confirm he can count to 7),he doesn't really know what he himself is talking about, basically if he is on Sabine Pass he has got a lot of backing up to do. :D That was rich!

I think that Big Sandy is playing Broddaus, Central, and Legget today. They were supposed to be playing Hardin-Jefferson and Kountze but there were some conflicts.

"I think" you're wrong. The two coaches debated over flipping a coin for seeding purposes into the tourament or playing a game, which they did. And as far as WH being the better of the two, that is your opinion. As far as I'm concerned, neither team was better than the other. It was said before the game that Letsinger was not even going to play because he was sick, he didn't start but he still came in and played the entire game from the latter part of the 1st quarter on to the last buzzer. Also, in the Regional Semi's BS played Martin's Mill and lost by 10....WH played that same Martin's Mill team the very next day and lost by 20. Go figure. Once again that's my opinion of the two teams, good luck to both this upcoming season.

That's horrible, I hate to hear that this happened especially on the kids senior year. Also, WH is District Co-Champs with BS. They split during district, BS won at BS and WH won at WH. That game in Evadale was for seeding purposes in the playoffs, the coaches could've flipped a coin or chose to play the game, they chose to play the game.

Yeah there are two Big Sandy's. One is near Tyler and is a 2a I believe and the other is Dallardsville Big Sandy and they are 1a.

Maybe...Maybe 3rd spot but not 2nd. I saw the JV for WH last year and don't expect much to come up, yeah they're not THAT bad, they know how to play.
