BS by 15+....no doubt!

Yeah scrimmages dont mean much but it does give the coach a chance to see what he can expect aside from his starting 5, more than likely the starting 5 for both teams wont be on the floor at the same time for more than 4 or 5 minutes. Probably goin to see a lot of bench play.

Ok, that's better.....now we know where they are from, but will they be able to play this coming season or will they have to play JV? Does anyone know anything else about the kids?

Look for Corey Tolar, a junior, from BS to make it happen beyond the three. Recieved All-Region honors last year as a Soph., expect great play from him this coming season.

Well then ghostt.....tell us what Sabine Pass has to offer???? Who do they, or ya'll I should say, have that is going to beat WH and all these other teams (BS, HD, Spurger) on the team this year? If the JV that I saw last year is moving up to Varsity then we have nothing to worry about. Just stop with the trash talk and tell us who Sabine Pass has this season.

You must play for Sabine Pass ghostt.....look son, I love the team spirit but I am saddened to say that if the two kids on the JV team last year were the "transfers" then it's not going to get ya'll over the hump (4th place). Now I'm not saying that the kids on the JV were the ones everyone is talking about but nobody is telling me who these kids are??? The Sabine Pass varsity lost their entire starting five last year, and their bench was horrible....it's going to take a miracle for them to take BS, HD, or spurger for a playoff spot. Just give me some names or where they play on the floor, that's all. If I keep getting replies like "does dat help" then I can reassure myself in saying that no one will have to worry with Sabine Pass this season.

Very true. It will be interesting if they play the same schedule as last year. You want to have a pretty decent record heading into district just to keep the morale and self-esteem on the team high, but then again you dont want to play any cupcakes because the district their in will be in a battle for that 2nd and 3rd place slot.

Fan support will always be there for WH I assume. But I wander what the turnout will be this year as opposed to last???

I am still curious as to who exactly these "transfers" are that Sabine Pass is supposed to be picking up. With all the talk that's been going on they're pretty good, but I haven't gotten any names, positions, freshman sophmore junior senior, where they came from. Could someone please inform me with some better info other than they're good and will be in the playoffs this season. Please.

WH will indeed come in fourth this season, HD spurger and BS will be too much due to the fact that WH has NO DEPTH whatsoever! If I were coaching in this district I would go directly at Copeland, get him into foul trouble and make him sit the bench. Or get the double team going and leave any of the other two guards open, doesn't really matter, and get it out of his hands. What's worse for WH is that Copeland is going to have to carry the ball more than likely down the floor, unless the coach is desperate to keep Copeland on the wing....his scoring oppurtunities will be very limited. As far as the other posts go, unless they have improved drastically over the summer, I don't see much going on there other than space in the paint.

I don't think West Sabine will be very good this year. Lost 2 seniors who were pretty much their whole team, game revolved around them 2. Big Sandy played them in first round last year and beat them pretty badly, by about 20 or so I believe.

I saw on Big Sandy's schedule that they play Goodrich twice at home and Beaumont Kelly at home also this season!!! Goodrich has always been a rival of Big Sandy's, all their games are fun to watch, and it will be interesting to see this Kelly team...I personally have never seen them play but have heard of them before.

I will agree with everyone in saying that it is strange to not see Silsbee on the list at all. Very surprised to see Goodrich ranked No. 1 in 1a-II, that won't stay too long. East Chambers and Kountze holding steady in 2a as usual, and HJ in 3a. Can't wait to see the season Big Sandy has to offer, ranked 2nd in 1a-I.

Those games are last years games. It says above the schedule 2006-2007 Varsity Schedule. Besides, I remember going to a few of their first games with those opponents. ;D

With all the talk about HJ and Silsbee going on right now, I cant wait to see that game! EC and Kountze will always and forever be a great game. Not looking forward so much to BS and WH playing, WH doesn't have much and I think BS will pull away too easy.

Big Sandy played Martin's Mill in the Regional Semi's and lost by 10, WH played them in Regional Finals and lost by 20.

I am gonna have to say that it's a long shot but who knows? maybe????

Cayuga as you said will be young and VERY athletic, no one will be able to match them in that category. Martins Mill will be good as always, very well coached and rarely make mistakes. Lost great player in Brant Ethridge. Big Sandy lost two starters, one very good defensive stopper and a point guard with great leadership on the court. Still have good post, will be great contenders. Slocum had disappointing end last year, expect them to come back fired up with revenge. Broaddus lost quite a few seniors I believe, and what about that one player they had who got hurt with a season ending injury? Was he a senior? He was a great player. Zavalla.....can't say too much on them because I simply don't know anything about them. Good assessment of the teams overall, nikes.

Will be an extemely interesting contention for 2nd and 3rd between Spurger, HD, and WH.
