  1. You don't have to speak perfect, just consider what it is you're saying before you say it. 90% of the things you've said so far make no sense, you are bringing it upon yourself. Oh and by the way, summer league ball doesn't count....that's like talking about pre-season football or spring league baseball, it doesn't matter who beats who. Hardin-Jefferson played Big Sandy last year in a couple of scrimmage games (very similar to summer league basketball) and HJ lost one of the three games, then went on and won state in 3a. Just proves my point even more of how much a game in summer league doesn't matter.
  2. You are wrong ambassador. Completely wrong. None of the teams listed suck.....otherwise they wouldn't be on the list. Consider what you are saying, before you speak it.
  3. I mean "and the rest don't matter cuz they suck." Keep that to yourself.
  4. I'd watch what you say man.......don't get stuff started on here.
  5. 1. BS 2. HD 3. Spurger/WH Close race for number 3. WH does have Copeland and he will cause mismatches for Spurger, but won't be able to carry the team as Letsinger did. Spurger has a good post in Whittaker, WH will have difficulty in finding someone to guard him. Neither will have the athleticism to keep up with HD. BS wont have too much trouble getting the No. 1 spot, all-around good, solid players at BS, big post in McKinney on the inside and lights out speedsters on the wings. Gonna be an exciting year for sure....cant wait!
  6. Where do these "move in's / transfers" play on the floor. Also, someone earlier already said it but sabine pass is goin to have to replace thier starting 5 that they originally had and believe me, since i did play on BS V-squad last year, that these move in's are goin to have to be animals because yeah they held the jv close last year.....but that was the jv. There is no way they will be able to contend with BS this year with just those guys. And i suppose that sps and hooters play on sabine pass...am i right?
  7. Oh and by the way Mr. Vitale.....BS did beat some 3a's last year not that it matters. They beat woodville twice, splendora, coldsprings, and huffman.....i think huffman is a 4a....correct?
  8. I am not surprised really at all. I played against brandon just this past year and I can honsetly say that I havent played against anyone quite like him in my life. It was my job on the team to guard him and to "stick em" and after every game against him I was in awe of how controlled and patience he was even during the most pin point precision plays. Now as far as him walking on to A&M he's going to have a rough ride, not saying that he cant, but just the fact that we're talking about D-1 Big 12 basketball.....very distinguished level of play. What he needs to fcus on now more than ever as someone earlier said is his studies. Basketball and Track will always be there, but the chance to get a great education is right in front of him and all he has to do is take it. Good Luck Brandon and Gig Em'!!!!
  9. Big Sandy has a great oppurtunity to turn it on this year and make it all the way. Leadership is going to be a key factor in this progression towards state, with 6 seniors leaving and only two on the team this year someone is going to have to step up. Good Luck Guys!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Wow Mr. Vitale, what a moron. The facts have been stated, you've been backed into a corner, continue to talk noise over the computer, and yet you still won't admit that you are wrong in this situation. It's ok, everyone has moments where they just dont have the answer or they just dont know, and you my friend are in this situation. Although i will give you this, you have your own opinion,....you have stated it and you can keep that opinion. And by all means you have every right to change it if you please. Now.....dont you feel special, you have your own little opinion and you can do whatever you want with it. AWWWW....now in no way am I on your side, being an alum of Big Sandy and having playd on the ball team i would have to say that BS has plenty of tradition in their program. Oh and I believe Coach Foster would love to coach in that "one horse town" over any 5a school since that is where he graduated from and was on the 87 and 88 team that went to the regional finals. I mean why leave a program where you continue year in and year out to get into the playoffs? By the way please tell me your definition of "tradition"....just curious but I would LOVE to hear it. Good day to you Mr.Vitale. ;D
  11. BS will indeed roll right thru district with no problem whatsoever. HD will be the only competition and honestly i think it will be BS by at least 15 every game against HD if not more. Nothing against HD it's just that u have to look at the facts that BS is goin to be VERY good this year as they were last year. Oh and the 6'3" dude is a soph and he's for real. Not very big, lanky but can shoot lights out and has good ball handling skills. Only fault will be his strength.
  12. I am not goin to lie, Ryan08 has a pretty good point. Very convincing.
  13. Sorry but Spurger should not even be in the discussion as well as West Hardin, i know they are not on the list but someone brought them up in an earlier post.
  14. Couldnt have said it any better coach fuller. Your description of Coach Foster's philosophy of teaching life lessons as well as and abundance of basketball skills is superb. He could coach on a higher level as could any coach brought up in this post. His only problem would be having to "choose" who he wants on the V-squad, if you could call that a problem. Coach Foster is without a doubt the best coach in 1A.
  15. Question: "Does it matter if BS can be 2a, 3a, or 4a teams?" Who really cares, I can guarantee you that in the state tourney there will never be a 1a playing a 4a in order to get to the next round. BS definitly has the potential to make it VERY far and i am not goin to say how far but we can all agree we will see them in the regional finals this year am i right. What hurts most teams once you make it that far is what BS has and thats a great coach and DEPTH! And with Big Sandy's conditioning like it is they will have no problem playing any type of ball whether it be run and gun (hull-daisetta) or half court sets (Martins Mill).
  16. First off I am going to start off with WH cuz sorry evadale, high island and sabine pass fans but unless something drastic happens I personally dont see it happening for ya'll :-\. WH will finish 4th in 24 1a due to the world renown fact that Letsinger is gone and sadly enough copeland is not able to or mature enough to carry the team as letsinger did and for anything to happen for WH that is what he is going to have to do. 3rd place will go to Spurger, simply because they are not athletic at all aside from the post they have and he really isnt the "athletic" type, and they dont have what it takes which is fundalmentals to offset the lack of athleticism. 2nd will go to HD because if you watched any 24 1a basketball last year you would agree with me in saying that HD has an abundance of athleticism, and that is what kept them in the mix last year. Spurger would be able to contend with HD if they had any fundamentals about them whatsoever, Spurger will have to rely on their ability to be scrappy players and capitalize on opponents mistakes. Back to HD, all they lost last year was the big man and he will not be hard to replace since all he could do was rebound, and take up space in the lane. Last but certainly not least we have BS, the winners of 24 1a. With three of their starting five back, and though they lost 6 seniors only two started and two consitently came off the bench, as well as a ton of potential from the district champion JV team last year to back them up, no one until regionals possibly will be able to contend with this team. Expect great coaching as usual from Coach Kevin Foster, where discipline and fundamentals will reign supreme. BS has the quickness, court awareness and sense, and they just flat out know how to play the game and WIN! Enough said....
  17. BS is graduating 2 starters in Anthony Williams and Cory Maze. Have a couple of kids from JV team, that beat HD in the regular season by the way, coming up. Definitely will be the team to beat next year in district and for a few years to come.....
  18. What are the standings for this district? All i ever get is Colmensneil records....i'd like to know how the rest of the district is doing. Thanks 8)
  19. WOW!!! Good job Brookeland
  20. BS won 12-2. Had kid on the mound that played basketball for them....surprisingly he didnt do that bad as the score says. Cant remeber his name but he was the one with the poofy red hair.
  21. Big Sandy will be great next year. They're losing 5 seniors but only two were starters. With their big man back, and their shooters rainin' all day they will be very tuff to beat. Have VERY good freshmen coming up, will be sophs next year. Have a very good chance to go far in the tourney next year. Good luck guys!!
  22. It was actually 12-2. 10 run rule in the bottom of the 6th.
  23. BS picks up the W with a solid game from the pitching staff. Had a little trouble with the rain in the beginning but managed to work through it. BS finished off the game with a three-run walkoff homerun.
  24. Dallardsvile Big Sandy 3-0 in District play BS vs. Colmensneil (4-3) W BS vs. Burkeville (5-3) W BS vs. Zavalla (18-8) W
