His family didn't MAKE him go because it was against UIL rules and therefore would have disqualified him from play. Not everyone can pull a Fitzwater and move to a different state. At the end of the day the kids family wants him to further his education and play college ball, not everyone comes from a rich family so I don't fault them one bit.
