West Hardin pulled out a tough victory 63-49

The Oilers roll!!! A very exciting game in goodrich tonight..but the mighty OILERS pulled it out..there victory tonight puts them at 9-0 on the season..If they keep playing like they have been and don't get cocky and overconfident they have a great shot to make some noise when playoff time rolls around...I believe WH an HJ are the only 2 undefeated teams left in setx????

West Hardin is definitely for real..They are very well coached and have a talented bunch of players...I think this is definitely the best basketball team west hardin has ever put on the floor...West Hardin hasn't maid the playoffs in basketball since 1990..and that was the only time they've ever been...If they play hard night in and night out they have a chance to go really deep in the playoffs...They will definitely have a tough gameagainst goodrich this weekend..everyone should come watch..it's gonna be exciting...and as far as chireno goes, whalum is right, they can run, but they don't play defense either....west hardin held chester under 30 points when they played them..chester scored 79 on chireno...but we'll worry about them when we get there....

West Hardin beat sabine pass and centerville both by 30+ today at the colmesneil tournament.

Tyler and Brandon are good...and so is the rest of the West Hardin team...WH beat liberty last year...are they that much better this year???All in all it should be a pretty exciting game and could go either way..WH will have only had a week of prac...Whoever comes to play will win...looking forward to seeing it...

I think Liberty will have a decent team....I used to play little dribblers against alot of kids from liberty...Whatever happened to Paul Fontenot, and Jeremiah Brown???Do those kids still go to liberty...because when i played Liberty when I was younger they were really really good....

These are regular season games not scrimmages right????

If the OILERS come to play then they will take this one..If West Hardin wins, I believe it will be the first time in school history that they have won a playoff game...

High Island canceled on West Hardin because they only had 12 or 13 players anyway and from what i've heard there quarterback got hurt and another player is in ISS....so that would put them at only having 10 or 11 people...I think it could be good for WH...It gives them an extra week of rest and it also gives them more time to prepare for the 1st round of the playoffs...

Jerid Bordes from West Hardin is a good one....he should recieve the defensive MVP award in district 24-A

Coop..I was just wondering why you have West Hrdin ranked as the number 8 team in southeast texas, but on hoopinsider they aren't ranked at all????

In reference to rhino1877....You said that thomas would be the star on anyone's team....I watched him and his aau team play and he is not the best player on that team.....he actually sat on the bench quite alot.....Don't get me wrong he is a good player....but if he wants to go play D1...the he'll have to work on is jumpshot because in college he's not going to average 26 points a game off of layups..because in high school thats what he does.....He drives every time.....and i think J'covan from Kelly is 10 times the player...that kid is for real..

West Hardin will make alot of noise next returning all 5 starters (4 seniors and a soph.) especially dropping down to 1A.....They will DOMINATE!!!

West Hardin has a pretty nice gym....and Deweyville's new gym is awesome..

Kountze will win state again this year...they played the worst that they could have played against smiley and still beat a 4a dist. champ. team....Freddie haynes really stepped it up...big win for kountze

i definitely thought that silsbee played well and i think they will definitely be headed to austin....K-Lockett really impressed me and Bryan Harris didn't show me much on the offensive end but he had some blocks...but there's 2 reasons why aldine lost...1.Silsbee's guards abused aldine's guards and 2. when u have an nba prospect on ur team then u give him the ball...Gary Johnson is a beast...i think he had like 7 dunks and 10 blocks...Everytime he touched the ball something positive came out of it...he would either dunk or go to the charity stripe, and aldine wouldn't feed him the ball...coming out of half time they were down and finally realized that if they get him the ball points r going to end up on the board and he got them back into the game..but then in about the last 4 min. of the fourth they went back to there guards going down and jacking up shots....they had maybe 1 guy that could shoot ...that's why aldine lost.

Who do yall think are the top ten or the best 3 point shooters in south east texas

I don't think buna has a chance in district 242A next year in basketball or football...they will definitely not finish in the top 3 in there district...They couldn't beat the 3 2A teams they played this year.

i believe district 242A will go deep in the playoffs, or at least kountze will. kountze will be a tough team to beat if there shots fall. Which they usually do. They could bring back another state championship this year.

If the oilers stay healthy and continue to work hard, I believe they will dominate district 24A next year. Led by junior guard Brandon Letsinger the oilers will be returning all 5 starters. I have to say i'v been really impressed with first year (public school) Varsity coach Kent Fuller this year. He led the oilers to there first 20 win season in years. I think he really relates to the kids well. Hopefully he will stay for years to come. Good luck to the Oilers next year.
