Vidor fans have low expectations , It's engrained in the culture. What ISD lets a losing coach that's leaving pick his replacement which is also his best friend , just for the sake of keeping all the good ole boys together ?

The offensive strategy also effects the defensive strategy. The plan is to put all the good athletes on offense and then the rest on defense, give a 10 yard cushion and hope you can outscore the opponent.

So if the goal is to have a decent team every 10-12 years when the talent is good enough to roll through the worst 4A-D1 district in the state, what does that say about the coaching ? To me it says they're depending on the players to pull the coaches weight ever so often. I hear that the Vidor freshman are going to be great when they are varsity at least every other year but it never pans out. Last time it panned out was 2016
