Counting last downpour 7inches in Newton so far since the storm started Saturday .

Weather should start clearing up here by Wednesday night, Newton & Jasper counties haven't got much more than 3 inches of rain, I could see a Saturday Game.

The super bowl of scrimmage lol, expecting a packed house like last years scrimmage. Too bad these teams can't meet up for a game in the future.

Two Newton football coaches are retiring this year , Oline coach Lidney Thompson and outside linebacker coach Robbie Hatton . Coach Hazelwood (Kirbyville Supt) is retiring or leaving ,not sure . Which means there will probably be a shake up with new Supt . Newton will I'll be a State contender again in 17, with 3 of the top returning sophomores in the state.

Setx top returning Linebacker . 207 tackles in 14 games .

Brown does this on limited touches, he is one of the top returning Athlete in all of SETX no doubt . Coming into his Junior year he will be the top corner in all of SETX

EF wouldn't play Newton anywhere they had previously played and they lost the flip this morning

Newton Faces Elysian Fields Friday @ Jasper New field .

Chan Amie the one that helped the most both years, he had 24 tackles & kickoff return against Newton , he is at SMU now .

We are also aware Newton was doing sone major subs after being up 28-6 at half

Scrappy bunch , Garrison played hard but Newton depth was to much . They have some good speed .
