Wunderlich k's. Lackey pops out. Jozwiak to bat, and walks.  Newman up, a base hit to right field.  McElreath up to bat, Watts in to run for Newman, Denny makes the catch in center. Barbers Hill eliminates Brenham 2-1 with a 9-2 win.

Brenham finally gets the final out.  Do or die for the Cubs. Top of the order up and they need 7 runs. It would probably be the biggest miracle of the last 10 years if they can put up that many runs on this team.  I'm thinking Georgetown better be prepping for The Eagles.

You cannot deny the Brenham Cubs baseball program, they are always top of the class, but Barbers Hill this year is in a different league. They started ugly in this one but they are looking like a state champion team right now.

I'm being told they don't want the kids out on a Thursday night due to testing on Friday and that Saturday games conflict with prom. So they are looking at a 1 gamer on Friday so it does not conflict with testing or prom.

I am hearing now that all games that were previously scheduled have been cancelled and we are most likely looking at a 1 game playoff on Friday night at a neutral location.

Boy the Cubs have come to life lately. They are currently beating Cy Fair 9-7 in the 6th inning in the semifinals of the Brenham Alumni Tournament.
