I still think it's BS that they count the attendance for these games and try to break PN-G and Plano's single game attendance record. They missed it by 1500+ fans last year, but there is no way you can compare that to the attendance of that 1 game in 1977. [Hidden Content]
Perhaps PN-G/Plano will remain in the record books with an asterick stating * record single game attendance *
 2. It’s quite comical how a school that has only been around for a few years has the audacity to get on this message board and act like their school and [s]sports[/s] football program is the second coming of Jesus Christ. Put the brakes on bro.  ::) You may have some talented athletes and have had some success in 19-4A – but in a few years… you will be sucking the dust farts from the larger schools that you will be paired with in district (Klein, The Woodlands, Kingwood, Westfield etc…) and wondering where your storybook program went and calling for a new coach.  Try winning with a little class and stop tearing down every team and their fans on your way to a district championship and check back with us when you can get past the second round of the payoffs.

 4.
Went and watched the Indians practice this morning their O is very sharp looks like they have cope of seasons ago. Gonna be a good offensive year it looks like. Running back Halfin is fast and strong something we missed severely last season. WR core is awesome.
I think the biggest question is the defense.  You can't outscore everyone.  Eventually, you meet up with a team like Nederland who has a stout defense and the next thing you know... you are sitting on the sidelines watching their offense score over and over while their defense is holding you from scoring a first down.  Let's hope the defense is much improved this year and we get some W's and a few upsets.  :D

He was injured his first game last year and returned to play CB. If you haven't heard of Morse, you will in the future. He may be young, but more than makes up for it in talent.
The main thing I saw of Morse was his running ability. He would just bulldoze the opponents, then burn them deep. But he will not bulldoze varsity guys, and likely not faster than most. Walker just isn't big, if he takes to many hits he might be done.
Ive seen most of his freshman games. Hes very quick on his feet, and he thinks fast. This was just as a freshman. Cant wait to see him on varsity, and once the rest of that freshman team join him...20 4a might have a new DC.  ;)
PNG's sophomores are the only class that has success against Ned. Ned's Juniors and Seniors just smash them. So if you think a handful of sophomores is going to dethrone the 2 time defending champion with more talent returning then everybody else, you're highly mistaking.
::) yeah, uh huh...  we will see.... and i think it's "mistaken"  ;)
 7. I suspect this will be the only "Indian" team that Vidor will secure a win against this season  ;) ;D Good luck Pirates!  Represent 20-4A!!
Honestly I think your jealous of Dayton... Why? I don't know.. Is it because Dayton is well respected as a good football program? Or maybe it's just how most in SC roll with lack of respect for anyone other than themselves.. All I ask is you have them teef nice and pretty when Dayton rolls into Turner Stadium this year. Smile for da camera  ;D
Dayton is the has-been team as long as SC is in the district.  So after Dayton takes their SECOND whipping in front of the SC's 10,000 faithful ...is that now a TREND?  SC stays in 19-4A next year.  You heard it here first.
I suspect there will be many cameras pointed towards this mysterious 10,000 Summer Crack fan base you speak of. Pics don't lie. Can't wait to hear your fuzzy explanation when the lens captures those 1,000 attendees including the band and dance team.  ;D ;D
 10.
One of the biggest things I have learned from demmydog is he has a huge lack of knowledge of football history for this area. Respect will be earned for Summer river 20 or 30 years from now when we see whether they have then earned it.
Summer Creek will be "that school" that talks about those few years that they were the big, bad Bulldogs of 19-4A.  Once they move up a classification and are continually stomped year in and year out by Klein, Atascocita, Kingwood and The Woodlands  - they will just be a bottom tiered team in District 13.  I'm sorry - but I just don't see an uprising of people moving to Summer Creek to live and have their kids compete in the big, bad Humble ISD.  The small number of those folks would rather live/attend and have a Kingwood address.
 11.
Look at the math ...SC pulls on average [s]10,000[/s] 1,000 per home game ...so 5 home games times an average ticket price of $5 = WINNING!  Look for the new SC mascot/tunnel coming this season.  1.2 million for the finest materials and gold inlays.
Here ya go.  Fixed that for you  ;) ;)
 12. Props to you as a parent. You have raised one hell of a kid that I have no doubt will do good things in life and be someone who will be looked up to - no matter what path he chooses.
 13.
The Vidor SC game would have been much closer if Vidor had some passing. SC's defense was off balance w/ the run. Some strategic passing could have resulted in huge plays. The threat of a pass would have forced SC's DB's to back up. They cheated down the entire game. Now what has PNG done to earn any talk of being in the running for district?  They were waaaay off the radar last year. No way they improve that much in one year.
Slipping in the 4th playoff spot in a district where 4 of 8 teams go to the playoffs is hardly saying PN-G will be "in the running for district".  ::)

 19.
The big growth at Humble you mention was the boom in building in Summerwood, Fall Creek, and the other masterplans. Those kids went to Humble awaiting a new AHS. Yes, they're still building and more kids will come, but the building is easily 90% complete. We'll see what pops up when Generation Park gets rolling. You and I both know most of these parents will want to see their kids attend AHS and their tax dollar power should allow them to have their way. SC is currently the hot school for kids around Humble proper and outside Humble ISD.  We'll see how it goes. You clearly know ur stuff and have data, but I'm looking at the grey area of the reality of human life.
You wouldn't know reality if it crawled in your mouth and laid a big horse turd.  You'd be swearing that some 5-A school drugged you, stole your champaigne glass and tricked you into eating a candy bar.  :-*

They might as well be Dayton or PNG.
Keep underestimating Dayton... Like it was said before they had some internal issues late in the season. Won't be a issue this season...  (Which is no excuse, just a fact) SC and Nederland beat Dayton fair and square... Dayton may lose again against SC this year... But I sure hope Dayton makes yall sweat in a close one if Dayton does lose. I'll be zooming in with my "lil ole camera", (as your buddy scitis likes to call it) up close to see the sweat rolling off yall's heads...  :P
I'll be at that game. Michael shaw,Seth barrow,Carson raines,Jordan wood.Korbin stampley,Brock pryor, Koby couron. There were 14 other seniors on this team but these are the ones that imo will be most missed.
Garrity is riding Ned's horse, but with the loss of those key seniors ...and even with them they got a beat down from GT ...I agree Ned is dropping down this year.  Garrity will say (like a trained parrot) that SC got a beat down from GT too, BUT SC is bringing back a few key Seniors on offense and a few more that will be on the highlight reel.
Show some respect for a better football program than SC. If you knew any better you would know NED just reloads.
So do you at the buffet ...lol!  Ned may do well in district, but they lost too much to be a serious contender this year.  Next year should be a good one for them IF they can find the endzone.
I think the old adage fits here better than anything else... Defense wins championships.... best example that shows you need a good Defense to compete... Summer Creek... even with the offense you had when you ran into a defense you lost... you couldn't stop them and they stopped you...
Exactly.  +1
 22.
Hmmmm?  Am curious to see if Ned can muster any offense this year.  If their offense improves they could be scary.  I assume Ned is well coached too. My biggest knocks on Ned is they don't seem to be good defending the pass and they don't score a lot of points.  If they face an offense w/ the ability to throw and score quickly, sounds like certain death for Ned.  They're not gonna win a shoot out (if their team this year is similar to last year).
So..  averaging 30 points per game in 2012 no longer qualifies you as "scoring a lot of points"?    ???
 23.
That's not how I took that statement. From reading the story, I take it as 19 have applied, and from those applicants, there are 3 local coaches. It also went on to explain Scott Carter has ties to the area. I'm looking forward to finding out who our new coach will be! From a story last week, we should find out soon!
Good point.  You are correct.  I suppose they were just noting the three "local" coaches.  Looking forward to the official announcement and another good year for PN-G baseball.
 24.
Scott Carter from Sweeny will be the man. He was just reassigned over there. Probably trying to get out of the district.
According to the Beaumont Enterprise... Scott Carter isn't in the mix.  "The position is now closed with three local coaches, Vidor coach Kyle Green, Kirbyville's Jeffery Bennett and Jason Keeney of Hamshire-Fannett, applying".    :-\
