You sir are correct........parents of a kid that think their little Johnny should be quarteback are behind this. It is sad for the coach. I understand they turned in a laundry list of things that the coach has done wrong. The 2 people I know that have knowledge of this say it is all about a mom and dad wanting their son starting........just so you know, the coaches son is the starting QB and better than the kid that thinks he should be starting.
yep this is a trend with this generation of parents.....complain until your kid starts, esp at qb because it seems to work for some. coach will bounce back, i'd get a legal representative if i were him...don't take this from parents. they need to learn  lessons, like patience and respect
If its true that is sorry, one of the things that drove me out of education/coaching. Kids and parents and what they believe is their right of entitlement. All it's takes is a few bad apples to ruin it, what makes it worse is when school boards and upper admin side with parents in cases like this.
This is a sad indication of where our society is headed. I remember many times as a child when I would pull out the "well, that's not fair" and my parents would explain to me that sometimes...  life is not fair.  It is how you deal with the situation and use it as a learning experience to grow and have perspective.  Now days, many parents just lawyer up and hide behind the explanation that is their, "American right". Sad....  hope Coach is back soon and is able to weather this storm.

 15.
It is comical how Port Neches can dish it out but when they are having a not so good year they tend to wear their feeling on their shoulders. Seriously PN-G bamakid, biaplayer, CAL2TEX, etc. shake it off it will be ok and if you all promise to quit crying like little babies we may just pat your team on the back friday night for a good game!
I don't see where I have anything to "shake off" that I would feel comfortable discussing with you - but thanks for the offer.  WAIT....I can think of one thing.....  ;) well....  :-X anyway...... Don't see any of the PNG folks crying....  just the usual Nederland folks flapping their jaws.  And for the record...  I think the term you are looking for is "wear your heart on your sleeve".  I'm not sure how anyone can "wear their feelings on their shoulders".... but, I don't tend to focus on feelings.  You may just be the pro on that one there.  8)
 16.
CAL2TEX- Wear your feelings on your shoulders much???? You can dish it out but can't take it! Yes we have heard PNG is famous all over the world and ya'll are the only ones that bring a crowd, seriously get a grip. And yes it is a good thing the stadium isn't closed so that some of you PNG fans( NOT ALL) will have room for your noses that are stuck so far up in the air!
awe....  you mad bro?  ;)
 17.

Yeah, and all of the were from PNG, LOL.
Never said that. But be aware, that's a double-edged sword. It says a lot when PN-G not only attracts upwards of 20,000 of its own fans for deep playoff games, but also typically more fans from other SETX schools than those schools have at their own games. ;)
Exactly.  Jealous much Bigdog??  Never seen so many people so concerned about the size or lack thereof of the fan support for PN-G.  Whether the crowd was all from Port Neches, Groves, the Golden Triangle or poe dunk Texas - I think it speaks volumes that this school can draw a crowd like that to see them play football.  Love how everyone just jumps at the chance to tear everything down about PN-G; just because they are having a down year in football. Glad the reservation is open at the top…  some Nederland fans wouldn’t be able to fit their heads in a closed stadium.   ::)
 18.
I don't think you'll find many PNG fans that expect anything more than a hard fought game from our NDNs Friday night. That's about it! If they come out on top we will all be surprised.
If that happens..... Then we will have to hear for weeks how "Nederland was not that good anyway..."...Hahaha
 19. ***** crickets *****
 20. Some of you non mid county folks would be happy with 1/3 of the crowds PNG or Nederland draws week end and week out - winning or losing. Funny how its always the ones with the little ones.... So concerned with the size of the others. Crowds.... That is. Size of the crowds.  ;)
 21.

Bamakid, that's extreme. I travel the state of Texas every month and outside of sets, nobody knows who PNG is. Most people in Houston don't even know. Coaches put in for jobs to scare their schools to give them more money. ie. Dahner and Liberty Hill coach when PNG job was open, and Neuman a couple years ago with applying at LaMarque.
Then you must be meeting different people than I am, because I've met people who do in New York, Washington, Florida, here in Tuscaloosa, and in several places across Texas, including Lubbock, Austin and San Antonio. And yes, many people in Houston, particularly people 40 and up who remember PN-G's numerous trips to the Astrodome.
You live in Alabama. I drive 3000 miles a month around Texas and almost every town you can think of. I promise you, your exaggerating. Come on man, PNG has some neat traditions, but it's just another high school. Once you get past Baytown, nobody cares who PNG is. Just saying. 70's are over. You weren't even born. Lol
Ok, you drive 3000 miles a month. Cool. I'm just telling you, I have met people in all of those places that have either pulled me aside because I was wearing something purple or asked me where I was from and knew exactly what I was talking about when I told them. Many also knew about TJ and WO-S and a few even knew about Nederland.
I said the miles to make point. It's really a silly argument. Remember I just moved from Port Neches, so I know all about what is talked about in the PN and Groves communities.Good luck to y'all.
Good luck in Barbies Hill. You picking arguments with kids about who may or may not have heard of PNG, coupled with throwing how many miles you drive across Texas should make you fit in perfectly in Barbers Hill. "TradinUp" ? Um.... Yeah, I'm holding my hand over my mouth trying not to giggle at that.
 22. Nederland by many. It will be very interesting to see how the faithful handle being spanked by Nederland, blown out by Vidor and potentially embarrassed in Livingston. Something tells me they will be calling for coaching changes.
