His own teammates are the ones that made the decision to send him home...I have a feeling that it wasn't just a normal fight...and what I've seen is it was with a D-Lineman...so it's not your typical DB vs WR scuffle.

Looking like he started a fight with a teammate and it was a player decision to send him home [Hidden Content]

Former Yates star shot and killed

From what I've been seeing it looks like he was possibly involved in a home burglary when he was shot. -
Hmm...I did see in Woodard's presser he said the game Saturday "pushed McGallion over the edge to retire". Hopefully it's not a serious issue and yes sometime things are bigger than football. Makes you wonder if whatever that thing was could be a reason for the downward spiral of the defense as the season wore on if he possibly had his mind on other issues.
-
Hmm...had forgot about that. I know it was rumored and I believe AAW even confirmed that Burnett would be a part of the program is some fashion but Lamar has yet to announce anything. I guess we will have to wait and see. Interim DC Mark Criner has a lot of experience and some of it even as a DC at the FBS level so he should still be a leading candidate to the full time position. I'm relatively younger and originally not from the MC area so I have to ask...was Burnett more of a defensive minded coach at PN-G?

DC Craig McGallion has retired. Believe he was probably given the option to retire or be fired with 2 games left on the schedule. LB coach Mark Criner will be interim DC for the remained of the season.

Lamar had a 2 QB system in 2012 with Caleb Berry and Ryan Mosskowski and it was an epic fail. I think Woodard realizes that now and his 2 QB system to start the year was basically to see who was better in game situation. They rotated QBs in every quarter so at least there was some consistency there. Not sure if they were gonna go with Minden before he ended up being injured but my vote had been for Earp due to ability to run and you saw that vs SHSU. I think rotating mid series approach SHSU had is a terrible idea...can't keep an offensive rhythm if by doing that especially when the 2 QBs have different skill sets.

I mean that is what they hired him for...surely can't help his legal case

Majority of time some of those kids aren't regulars on that particular team...their normal team may be taking the weekend off and another team will ask them to be a guest player. If you get a guest player to play with you for one weekend, he'll be listed on your roster for the remainder of the season. Another thing I've seen done is a team had 15-16 players on their online roster but come game time they only submitted a lineup with 9-10 guys on it. Come their next game, the kid who just pitched wasn't on the lineup but the kid who is going to pitch the next game was. Basically all those extras they had were kids they brought in strictly to pitch.

Quotes from Bregman sound like he just wants to play ball and isn't worried about negotiaions so good potential savings there. Good chance at getting a discount on Tucker with him having the shot a playing with his brother if things work out. Eshelman was probably a bit of a reach (even though I really like him). Probably could have gotten him in the 3rd so there may be another shot at an addition couple 100,000 or so. Vast majority of Cameron's bonus is going to have to come from savings on the 1st 2 guys though. #2 pick carries about a 7.4 Million bonus and #5 carries about a 4.2 Million bonus. To get Cameron to 5 they will roughly 3.3 Million savings. Similar situation happened in 2012 when Houston saved on Correa and were able to draft and sign Lance McCullers at #41 when he slid due to signability as well. That year Houston gave McCullers 2.5 Million when his slot about 1.25. Another note is McCullers was also represented by Scott Boras (as is Cameron) so the 2 parties there are familiar with each other in this situation.

I considered that but I gave this baseball game the edge cause it truely was a "meltdown". In the last 3 innings NC State walked 5 batters (1 with the bases loaded), committed 4 errors, had 2 balks (1 allowed a run to come home), & 2 passed balls that allowed runs to score (1 on a 3rd strike and the runner that score had moved to 3rd on one of the balks).
-
That was quite possibly the most epic meltdown in the history of sports.

Was just told by someone close to Coach Spell that he is resigning from his AP role

Give me a White Out in Happy Valley against OSU or UM...they always seem to be close games no matter if 1 team is down or not

Tore his ACL as a junior in HS...took his team to the SC game as a senior having his only loss in HS there (19-1)...went to OK St. as a walk-on (missing his Jr. year hurt his recruitment) where he took a RS, then transferred to Blinn and now A&M.
-
Many of us did...I know many D-1 schools tend to shy away from JUCO players but I don't see why more schools weren't fighting over this guy. Still had one more year of eligibility left at Blinn so maybe they wanted to see more...but my God in 8 games he threw 49 TDs and averaged OVER 500 yards a game through the air

2004...18-7 mark is also the best 25 game start in franchise history

I heard a rumor after last season he was offered a position at a local plant and nearly took it...not sure if it's still there for him or if that is actually the case. I think Bryan Spell would be a top in-house & Alumni candidate.

But he got caught so maybe not too well

Idk I've heard he might have a breakout season... -
Heard one of the brooms was possibly used in filming therefore losing its amatuer status...being investigated by NCAA...expect harsh punishment if true

The reports I've seen said he's done ok not great though...I've seen 2 videos and he didn't look too good although he was doing the blocking portion of the drill. Hoping his added weight doesn't affect his quick get off.
