2.
Adam Taylor has rushed 30 times for 276 yards and 5 TDs tonight. Someone in Texas needs to recruit the kid!
Not sure what his regular season numbers were but he was only an Honorable Mention All-State...he had 39 TDs coming into this game and I'm sure a good number of those came in the playoffs since the just rolled everyone...but geez...those voters need to resign if he played close to this in the regular season
 3. Think they need to add a few more buttons on those chin straps...seems like there are lot more helmets popping off all weekend than normal
 4. On the 4th and 1 in the 4th for GT right before they called their first time out was I the only one looking for their little "trick play" the pulled against Nederland when the backfield showed confusion and the RB ran under center and took the snap?

If these games weren't back to back on the same day, then I doubt as many fans from other schools, who are not in the same district, would drive all the way to Arlington.
Does that take away the fact that that fan was in attendance and watched the game...I understand the point that people are already there but in my eyes if they hang around they do so to watch a game they want to see their attendance should be counted

 9. Who was the Nederland kid on JV that broke his leg/ankle this season?...heard nothing but great things about him until he went down
 10.
Just my observations: Georgetown D is good. - We had at least 11 balls dropped that hit the receiver/DB in the hands. That killed us. - The Offense was completely out of sync, we had the QB throwing where there were no receivers, and no running game to speak of.  I understand that Hopkins is hurt. - The defense held Georgetown to 10 points in the first half, but was worn out in the 3rd quarter from being on the field so much.
The injuries on the OL affected the defense as well...Pryor having to play guard all game forced him to not be able to play D much...then Washington shifted over to DT and therefor wasn't much of a factor not coming flying off the edge
 11. Congrats to Brock...hope to see him roaming Provost Umphery in the red and white in the near future...but until then I look forward to seeing him wearing the black and gold for a few more weeks

I know that didnt score much but I wouldnt say neds defense shut them down.
But who won the game? But, if you actually watched the game you would know that they ran at least twice as many plays as Nederland. Average yards per play was not very high for them.
your right a win is a win. Still alot of yds considering dawson had 13 penalties and 4 fumbles.
Only one of those fumbles were recovered by Nederland and the penalties on Dawson's offense allowed them to gain more yards in the box score...but I could care less how many yards they gain as long as we hold them out of the endzone
 13. Well deserved...is he currently holding any scholorship offers?
 14.
Glad to see that someonelse saw the clock run off before they kicked the fieldgoal to go to OT! Refs dropped the ball on the last drive no doubt. Why LSU was looking at their QB I have no idea? I was not impressed with their offense at all. Maybe Neds Defense is just that much Better. I heard about some comments made by their head coach after the game about him not thinking the better team won. Well in my eyes the best team obviously won because their defense was that much better. In my eyes, PD was overrated! Just goes to show you rankings don't mean doodley squat!
Believe he's saying they were LSU was watching the WR not the QB
 15. got to see coach Bryan Spell come hug his daughters in the stands after the game...one of them was absolutely balling...i didn't know if they were tears of excitement or if she's tired of football season lol...either way it was a special moment for the families invovled
 16.

Dawson wasn't even a top 5 team.  Maybe not even top 10!
Son what are you talking about ? They were the #1 team in 4 A.. Dismiss yourself.
key word
 17.

Y'all were lucky to play on the same field as Dawson.
Really, playing at Reliant is special. We are 2-1 there. Oh, you mean we shouldn't breathe the same air? Dude, who are you trying to kid? You can tell you are from Dawson.....probably a player. 22-19
May be coach Wells...
 18.
He didn't lie.. The better team didn't win.. Y'all are fools to think Nederland was the better team, they got lucky.
The way I saw it Dawson was lucky to even have the game go to overtime...
 19. Hopkins is definetly a difference maker for this team and plays right into what Nederland does best, control clock, hold on to the ball, and physically wear down the opponent ...that is evidenced by Hopkins' play in the 2nd halves of games all season.  I said this on another thread but I'll say it here too...Hopkins is an increadibly tough kid and i feel like you would have to leave him tied to the goal post in Nederland for him not to play next week
 20. 3 plays i could watch all day...1.) Hopkins stiff arm at 0:50, 2.) Washington's monster hit at 2:15, and of course the one that sealed the deal
 21. Never seen the resilience in a high school team as what was displayed last night...when everthing was going wrong, Nederland stepped up and made the plays to gain back the momentum and win the game...anyone know what happened to Hopkins when he went down?...he came back for a few plays so it couldn't be too serious but he didn't play very much after he went out...he is one tough kid so I'd assume you would have to leave him tied him to the goal post in Nederland for him to not play next week
 22. heard that a player broke his foot at practice yesterday...can anyone get confirmation on this?
