On the 4th and 1 in the 4th for GT right before they called their first time out was I the only one looking for their little "trick play" the pulled against Nederland when the backfield showed confusion and the RB ran under center and took the snap?

If a Katy fan goes to watch Katy play and hangs around to watch Allen play I don't see why their attendance should be looked at any different than an Allen fan who only went to see Allen...they are there on their own will to watch the game...IMO they should still count towards the attendance if they are there

[/quote] The injuries on the OL affected the defense as well...Pryor having to play guard all game forced him to not be able to play D much...then Washington shifted over to DT and therefor wasn't much of a factor not coming flying off the edge

Congrats to Brock...hope to see him roaming Provost Umphery in the red and white in the near future...but until then I look forward to seeing him wearing the black and gold for a few more weeks

[/quote] Only one of those fumbles were recovered by Nederland and the penalties on Dawson's offense allowed them to gain more yards in the box score...but I could care less how many yards they gain as long as we hold them out of the endzone

got to see coach Bryan Spell come hug his daughters in the stands after the game...one of them was absolutely balling...i didn't know if they were tears of excitement or if she's tired of football season lol...either way it was a special moment for the families invovled

Hopkins is definetly a difference maker for this team and plays right into what Nederland does best, control clock, hold on to the ball, and physically wear down the opponent ...that is evidenced by Hopkins' play in the 2nd halves of games all season.  I said this on another thread but I'll say it here too...Hopkins is an increadibly tough kid and i feel like you would have to leave him tied to the goal post in Nederland for him not to play next week

3 plays i could watch all day...1.) Hopkins stiff arm at 0:50, 2.) Washington's monster hit at 2:15, and of course the one that sealed the deal

Never seen the resilience in a high school team as what was displayed last night...when everthing was going wrong, Nederland stepped up and made the plays to gain back the momentum and win the game...anyone know what happened to Hopkins when he went down?...he came back for a few plays so it couldn't be too serious but he didn't play very much after he went out...he is one tough kid so I'd assume you would have to leave him tied him to the goal post in Nederland for him to not play next week
