  1. After this years football season and basketball so far, I'm not going to be surprised about anything...
  2. HJ is a great team. I don't blame them for all their threads, but I will just add... Here are the undisputed champions of each category: High School Football - Lumberton (hands down) High School Basketball - HJ High School Baseball - District 21-3A (without a doubt) Granted 2 of these three categories are current State Champs, so a little leeway should be expected.
  3. This district is too close to call. Pre-season, I said Kountze, EC, and Warren. What I didn't count on was Hardin, Anahuac, and Deweville playing this good. My predictions are over with, just gonna watch it play out. Good luck to all these teams. Hope officiating doesn't factor into any of these teams losing out or wining for that matter.
  4. I think BS keeps on winning!
  5. 21-5A Channelview at West Brook Humble at PA Memorial 22-4A Central at Lumberton Ozen at LC-M Vidor at Dayton PN-G at Nederland 24-2A East Chambers at Anahuac Hardin at Buna Deweyville at Warren TAPPS Legacy at Bay Area Non-District Huffman at Kingwood Park Tarkington at Hamshire-Fannett Hardin-Jefferson at Lufkin Hudson Shepherd at Kirbyville Orangefield at Sabine Pass High Island at Colmesneil Hull-Daisetta at Liberty Big Sandy at Splendora Fort Bend Baptist at Kelly Woodville at Onalaska
  6. I also agree about the bodies and hand checking, its just lazy. Allowing this sloppy defense allows the game to get out of control also. I don't mind if a defender has a hand on the dribbler, if hes not gaining an unfair advantage, but if the dribbler is making a move to the goal or just bringing the ball up the court, get the hands and the bodies off of em. Clean it up! Watching a game in Hardin the other night, the opposing team would literally push Hardins ball handler where they wanted them with their body, meanwhile holding both hands in the air as if he was doing nothing wrong. And evidently, he wasn't doing anything wrong, it NEVER got called. Sloppy D, and lazy, refs need to clean that stuff up early in a game. IMO
  7. Hardin ran their noemal d on WH. They won by 40 the first time, why would they feel the need to box and 1 or triangle and 2. Copeland is the scoring threat for WH, but by winning by so much in the first contest, it would have been a little disrepectful to try and shut Copeland and WH completely down. IMO
  8. Anyone got updates?
  9. Congrats to Coach Stump and the Pirates.
  10. Wow, consider me shocked, a little.
  11. Wow, I knew Tatum was good when they beat Newton, but to beat Salado, that IS something, Salado had been demolishing people. I'm picking Tatum to beat Early.
  12. Dayton man! Gotta have some se texas faith.
  13. Championship game between Goodrich and Coldsprings. Started at 7:30. Haven't heard anything about this one...
  14. Yep, looking pretty good, but still have some areas that can be improved upon. Thats a good thing. Only 2 losses coming from the host teams of each of the tournaments...Big Sandy and Goodrich, both pretty good games though.
  15. Hardin over Liberty 62-53. Hornets take third! Congrats Hardin.
  16. That may be a little bold. This district (just like football) as a whole, has improved a great deal. Hardin is playing well, but so is Warren, Deweyville, and Anahuac. Like whsalum and warfan have both said already, noone will be able to have an off night in this district this year, as it looks as if its preluding to a great, and challenging district race. I think, the top 3 spots will all have losses from several different teams. Here's my prediction: Alot of threads entitled, "so what if blank beats blank, and blank loses to blank, who makes play-offs?" ;D Oh, by the way, I hope you're right.
  17. 61-58 Goodrich over Hardin. Final. Hardin to play Liberty tom. at 4:30 p.m.
  18. Dayton recovers a Waller fumble!!! 13 seconds. Great job Defense! Congrats Broncos, take it to em in the semifinals!
  19. Come on D! Sack back Dayton, back to the 35. Time out Waller!!
  20. 55-53 Goodrich over Hardin. 2:40 left in game.
  21. No, I think its just a huge momentum shifter, recovering a fumble or an int. Lifts up a team's offense and defense. Momentum...
