30 passing, only 2 rushing I think. -

I don't know...maybe beat an unranked team more soundly. Not let an unranked team have a chance to beat you on an extra point in the last minute of the game. But I totally agree with you EC should be ranked higher, but I also think Buna should have some votes too...What the H!@#*!*@ll is up? -

That might be what I would have done also. Ask my boys what they want to do, knowing they will want to "go for it". -

You're kidding right? -
No doubt about Thomas' ability. He can probably play tennis by himself also. ;D (kinda like Snoopy used to do back in the day). ;D ;D ;D

I don't blame Buna for going for it. They layed it all out there, just came up a little short. Nothing to be ashamed of, people can always second guess, hind sight being 20/20. (maybe better than 20/20 if hindsight gets lasik). But anyway,I totally respect Buna for going for it. -

WOW. Sounds like this was everything that it was hyped up to be. Congrats EC. Good luck to both of these teams in the play-offs. -

Good game Hornets. Congrats on a big win. This game was about what I thought it would be, a good hard fought battle. Kountze played a real physical game, just kept pounding the ball. Hardin D made a couple of key stops, but for the most part, Kountze ran the ball well. Their Defense played a real good game too, but you know what I liked most about this game, was how clean it was. After even some of the biggest, hardest hits, each team just jumped up, and helped the other guys up. Great group of guys from Kountze, you can just tell. It is also appearant that their program is definately heading in the right direction. Good luck on the rest of the season Kountze, I was really impressed. -
Absolutely agree.

It would take more than another half of a game to get his stats even close to Nolan's. Nolan played only half of his games quite a bit this year too. The fact of the matter is, Hardin runs a different offensive scheme than EC. That's where most of the stat differential comes from. Thomas is the best football player in this district, perhaps in this region, perhaps one of the best in the state. However, Nolan is one of the best QB's in this region and state as well. Just different styles. In my opinion, right now, I'd say Thomas district MVP, and Nolan 1st team. Here is a question even professional football teams can't figure out sometimes: Would you rather have Mike Vick as QB, or a Tom Brady? (Not making any attack on anyones character here), but if Vick wasn't an idiot, as for as QB's go, I'd take Brady, but alot of NFL and NCAA teams would take Vick. Just my opinion, can't really compare them as QBs, based on stats.

That is funny. I hate that stinkin light pole on the 50 at Buna.

Buna will absolutely bring EC a good game. Buna is just too good a team not to, but EC's D (IMO) has been a little under-rated this year. EC does have the "play-off" type experience to handle some big time situations, so I think the edge goes to EC. Buna, will control the ball pretty well, bang out yard after pounding yard then boom! Rake one for 30. In a weird, ball control kinda way, sort of explosive. EC can do the same, but also has a pretty good air attack. Another advantage for EC. All in all, should be a really good one. Hope all stays safe, injury free for play-offs so that both teams can represent our district well.

I gotta say, Vidor's is way cool.
