  1. Good point. I'm still sticking with NW though. Maybe a stretch, but, call it a gut feeling. Idk...
  2. The same official made all 4 horrible calls on the Hornets. On BOTH illegal formation calls, he called a player on the OTHER side of the field, to be on the line of scrimmage. He also called an unsportsman like on Haynes (on the 2nd illegal formation), in which the head official told him to put his flag back up.
  3. My gut tells me, that NW will beat Daingerfield and Newton will beat Franklin. Then, New Waverly vs. Newton. I think Newton will win, but should be a good one.
  4. Game a little closer than score. Hardin was running out of time, taking chances that they would normally not do. NW is stout though. They could make a run, perhaps even give Newton a heck of a game.
  5. So sorry, Score is 39-8. Final. New Waverly defense very tough. Good luck to the Bulldogs.
  6. now now play nice The ref actually thought stelly had the ball up the middle when he went down, he blew the whistle, meanwhile, villamez is in the middle of running for about 40 yards down to the 5 yard line. Not much excuse for that, just not being a very good ref. I still find it intresting that people think officiating doesn't play into the outcome of sporting events. This is absolutely a good example of not letting the players decide the outcome of a game. Who knows, might not of meant anything, but you'll never know. Just a shame. And I know he didn't do it on purpose, just aggrivating...
  7. Hardin gets it down to the five yard line and it gets called back on an inadvertant whistle. Freakin bull s**t.
  8. Very good pictures. Thanks.
  9. 14-0 New Waverly. 8:30 left in second quarter.
  10. In Groveton vs. Bremond.
  11. I guess it has its advantages from time to time, but i hate the fact that 23-AA has byes thru 1st round. It sucks playing someone coming off a big play-off win. It can be a huge disadvantage too. NW will give Hardin's defense some huge fits. Hardin should be able to move the ball a little against em, but if they cant control the ball, the clock, or NW's offense, then it may be a long night for the Hornets.
  12. This one was funny, he tells Dr. Death..."I'm pretty fast for a cau-caision" Still can't picture Robin Williams playing football though... Coach Yoast's speech was a good one.
  13. Wow. Congrats Hornets. Haynes never ceases to amaze me, he finds ways to win. Took him several games this year, but it seems like he's found his chemestry that's working.
  14. Hey now! Just because Evadale won last night doesn't automatically mean they'll win district. There's a lot of football still to be played. If Evadale beats W.H., then maybe you can start that talk.
  15. this has got to be the stupidst thing said on the computer network. thanks alot now we are all a little bit dumber for reading this post.
  16. Congrats HD. Great job Joe. Sounds like it was a good game. Keep it going Sam!!!
  17. OK, don't laugh, I'm way behind the times, but where is Stapert going?
  18. Congrats to Snook. I know for a fact, that the Blinn coaches were more than impressed in Hawaii.
  19. I'm gonna have to go with Buna here. They are strong and real deep in pitching. Good luck Cougars.
