After going winless in the first half of district, WOS is literally only two baskets away from starting the second half of district 3-0. Throw in two other close games, and they’re 12 points away from being 5-3. Crazy district, fun to follow -

Pretty sure the JV is a playoff team in this district. That’s no knock on any other teams, it’s just that Silsbee has two teams worth of varsity talent. -

BC as well. Respectable at the half, then the third it ballooned to about 30. -

Very impressed with that comeback, regardless of what happens. They didn’t do that sitting around a campfire near the half court line! -

Migrants Protest, Refuse to Leave Luxury NYC Hotel

Gotta be careful. You've liked two of my posts in two days. Feels like the twilight zone -
I'm curious if you don't win in your seven years and get fired, does that make you ineligible to get hired somewhere else? It kinda seems like you're outkicking the coverage on this one. For every coach who ever wins a state championship there are dozens who never will. Not sure how you can keep firing really good coaches in the hopes of finding an elite coach when by Reagan's standards, there are less than 10-15 "elite" coaches at any given time roaming the sidelines of Texas football stadiums, while there are over 1500 high school football teams in the state.

Migrants Protest, Refuse to Leave Luxury NYC Hotel
bullets13 replied to bullets13's topic in Political Forum
This might actually be my favorite thing going on right now. It's hilarious to see the effect that an overabundance of illegal immigrants has had on these liberal sanctuary cities who normally criticize any effort made by border states to keep them out. It's pretty hilarious how quickly that attitude changes from "it's your problem, deal with it" to "we need the government to help us right now!" -

I’d feel a lot better if they were working 40 hours a week at minimum wage. Many work part time or not at all. To me the free housing, food stamps, WIC, free phones, free health care, etc. etc. etc. is more than enough for your back door minimum wage increase. I think it’s obvious that I’m not your typical extreme conservative that you see on the board, but I’ve had enough up close exposure to the obscene amount of handouts given to able bodied people who refuse to work that I do have a very conservative view on this particular issue.

5 Memphis police officers charged with murder….
bullets13 replied to tvc184's topic in The Locker Room
The video to this one is sickening. I'm very much pro-cop, and I think in a lot of the cases that cause outrage/protests/etc., there's a lot of gray area in what happened, or at least a mistake was made and common sense is enough to understand how it happened. This is the exact opposite. The officers did everything wrong from just about the very beginning in this case, and then beat poor kid to death when they should've been able to overpower him and get him cuffed without any blows being thrown. -
I get it. But if they're not involved in paying into it because they make little to nothing, there's absolutely zero reason for them to be receiving huge refunds from it.
-
You can call it whatever you want, but families who pay little to nothing in get $8-10k every year during tax refunds.

7-0 run to end the third at least gives the horns a puncher’s chance. Looks like the hawks came to play tonight -

Horns better figure it out pretty quick. They may have a more talented team, but HJ’s program has a lot more experience in these type of games -

Important game for the raiders. This is the game everyone who’s fighting for a playoff spot should win, but the stangs have been playing everyone pretty close in district, and finally broke through with a win the other night. I think they’ll find a way to win another district game this season, and whoever they beat is going to be in a tight spot considering that there are 4 teams essentially tied for the final three playoff spots. I think lumberton takes it, but WOS very well could make it a good ballgame -

It's well into the thousands. I've seen signs around beaumont from tax places advertising these returns as well. "Come to us and we'll get you a tax return up to $9500", or something like that. I try not to go to beaumont, so I haven't seen one in awhile.
