  1. I know they’ll be a different animal completely once the football boys get involved, and I believe they’ll be deserving of a top-5 ranking by the end of the season. I expect them to make a run to state again, and will be rooting for them to do so. I just believe that results rather than potential has to play at least some part in the rankings.
  2. Well, they’ve played a rough schedule, but Wyatt is 1-5 and beat Silsbee by like 50. Dobie is 8-9, and has a loss to Barbers Hill. Episcopal is 3-5. Madison is 4-5. So half of their losses are to teams with losing records. Admittedly those teams have mostly played tough schedules like Silsbee, but they’re not beating the good teams they’re playing. They’re not bad teams, but they’re not Duncanville or Faith Family either. West Brook is pretty decent, but half their wins are against a depleted Silsbee team and a mediocre LaGrange squad. Angleton and PAM are playing pretty well so far, but I don’t think either has played a particularly impressive schedule to this point. Point being Silsbee hasn’t lost to a bad team, but they’re not losing to truly great teams either.
  3. confirmed? Edit: never mind, 3-4 underclassmen from last year are no longer listed on the roster for this season, including their studs. would sure like the back story on this one.
  4. We have this conversation every year, but at what point does Silsbee's record hurt them? I get that it's Silsbee Lite and all that, but some of their losses are to teams that aren't even very good. I know, I know, they're going to be playing for a trip to state at the end of the year, and they play a tough schedule, but at I just feel that at some point 3-8 has to mean at least a little something. Let them work their way back up in the rankings when they have their full team and are actually winning some games.
  5. HF beat Cooper 68-47. They’ll play 10-1 Pasadena tomorrow at 1:30.
  6. My buddy lives in melissa, so I’ve followed them this year. Hell of a run for moving up a division. They had a lead in this one early fourth, SOC scored to go up a TD, then Melissa drove on them and turned it over on downs. Melissa easily could’ve won this one, even though it looks like a comfortable win for SOC on paper
  7. Carthage 24, Pleasant Grove 0, 2nd
  8. Kilgore 7, Tyler Chapel Hill 7, HT
  9. I’ll all for that view when it comes to sins that don’t hurt other people. Are you in favor of making all sinful actions illegal?
  10. Man. Crazy game. Silsbee hard done to lose this one.
  11. 4th and 13 for the tigers. Season in the balance
  12. Debate on whether the qb was down on that throw for the 2-pt conversion.
