  1. great news! i guess you can start celebrating with everyone else instead of complaining on here then!
  2. when it's obvious, it's obvious.
  3. all of the elections across the country that are going to the right. the presidency. in the senate. in the house. in school boards, and local govts in traditionally blue areas.
  4. get over what? you and your ilk are the ones crying.
  5. Something tells me he was probably more influenced by YOUR rhetoric.
  6. this is the exact elitist attitude that's been coming from the left that is costing y'all all these elections. talking down to people that disagree with you like they're stupid. I know just as many dumb people who have degrees as don't. I've read enough of your posts that I would bet any amount of money that this page contains a large amount of folks without degrees who have a higher IQ than you. The point being that an education doesn't at all equal intelligence. a big chunk of these kids today are getting degrees in meaningless areas and all they know how to do is protest and complain. They're calling people dumb but can't hold or even find a job. They're unable to cope with even the slightest adversity, and an event like Trump winning the election will shut them down for weeks. Time to get down off your high horse. Your nursing degree didn't do a damn thing to make you more qualified to cast an educated vote in a presidential election, which you've proven over and over again with your posts the last two days.
  7. seems kinda silly. We come to you live to figure out seeding so we can tell you which district 9 teams these two teams will lose to next week in the playoffs!
  8. My wife and I are 10 years into a 15-year note on our house. Not only did we save an obscene amount of money by avoiding a 30-year note, we're actually on pace to finish paying it off at least 2 years early. it's not difficult to be responsible, but I respect your son for doing it at a young age. I can't imagine being 45-50 years old or however old BG is and still paying the minimum on a "predatory loan" when you're making more than enough money to pay the loan off in a year or two at most. And then have the nerve to constantly question everyone's intelligence or talk down to them on financial issues.
  9. was really hoping texan live would pick this up.
  10. The silsbee game didn't shock me, but the Jasper game did after they arguably should've beaten WOS the week before. 42-0 after three quarters and Jasper couldn't have had more than a couple of first downs at that point, after scoring 5 touchdowns the week before on the chain gang.
  11. overall, no. but their offense is through the air. they run great routes and have a fantastic quarterback, arguably the best in the area. a wet field and a wet ball will benefit WOS if it becomes necessary to keep it on the ground more.
  12. shouldn't have, if you'd paid it back responsibly. you like to talk about how well you're doing financially... shoulda paid more than the minimum. it's not difficult. my wife got her masters and we paid it off in 2 years.
  13. this is literally you and your loan. get out of here with that
  14. apparently they don't have an issue with it.
  15. The fact that they’re still alive almost 25 years later is mind boggling to me.
  16. A wet field definitely benefits WOS. HF’s sophomore running back has improved since taking over for Augustine after his season ending injury, but WOS definitely has a major advantage on the ground. For HF to win this one they’ve got to be sharp through the air, and wet conditions aren’t ideal. Hopefully the rain holds off and we see how these teams do strength Vs. strength.
  17. Here’s a thought for you: I have 3 good Mexican friends who were brought into the country illegally as children. Through the dreamer act they were able to go through the process legally to become US citizens. It was a long process, and this was the first election they were able to vote in. All three are hard workers and make pretty good money, and subsequently pay a lot of taxes. All three voted for Trump. It appears that the left’s attempt to flood the country with new voters is starting to backfire. It seems that even immigrants, once they become legal and pay taxes and come off the govt teat are trending towards being somewhat conservative. I talked to one of them tonight and he told me “we worked hard to get where we are, and we don’t want them just letting everyone in either.” And apparently to some degree this is happening with black voters as well. When you work hard to get to where you are it’s a lot less appealing to give large chunks of your money to those who refuse to help themselves. The irony is that without a doubt DEI initiatives created some newly financially stable voters who don’t like the idea of their earned money being taken from them and redistributed to those who don’t work. 1 in 4 black males in Georgia voted for Trump. 60% of Latinos in Michigan voted for Trump. Those are incredible numbers!
  18. Democrats have got to fix something pretty quick, because it played a big part of this election: there's this air of superiority coming from the left, and it stinks. EVERY SINGLE EDITORIAL I've read today focuses at least in part on the idea or assertion that everyone who voted for Trump is dumb, or was tricked, or is naive. Either that, or we're racists, or facists, or any other number of unflattering descriptors. Screw that. The left better figure out real quick that they've got to make some major changes in policy. Doing whatever they want, making the American people suffer through it, and then telling us we're in fact doing great, and bad people if we don't like it isn't going to cut it anymore. People who don't want men in women's sports and locker rooms aren't bigots. People who don't want an unchecked flow of illegal aliens coming across the border are not racists. And people who believe that the economy and inflation aren't getting better because they're poorer than they've ever been (even while making more money) are not stupid. A whole lot of Trump's baggage is real, yet more than half of the country chose him over what the left was offering. If that doesn't send a message, I don't know what does. I've been very honest on here about how I feel about Trump. I can't stand him, and yet I voted for him. Millions, probably tens of millions of people who can't stand him voted for him. African Americans voted for him at a record rate. Hispanics voted for him at a record rate. Explain that. Democrats better realize quick that they AREN'T better than the rest of us. Half their voting base can't change a tire, yet the right is constantly portrayed as uneducated and dumb. The left better lose the superiority complex and regain some of it's sense. If they don't start making some reasonable legislative decisions that appeal to the vast majority of it's voting base, then there are going to be a lot more issues for them.
  19. Thankful that Harris didn’t win. Here’s hoping that Trump devotes his energy to improving the country and not getting even with those who’ve gone after him. That’s my biggest concern at this point. If the next four years are better than the last four then it sets up well for a Vance presidency the next election. I also hope this leads to some changes in the Democratic Party away from the insanity that they’ve been pushing the last 8-10 years. I think this election was mostly decided by the economy and our suffering pocketbooks, but was also a referendum against a lot of the woke nonsense they’ve been peddling. Allowing men in women’s locker rooms and sports, supporting attacks on Israel, being soft on criminals, and putting the needs of illegal immigrants over those of the American people all helped swing this election. Oh, and replacing one terrible candidate with one who was just as bad didn’t help either. Here’s to hopefully 4 much better years!
