  1. Should be a good game. Always a heated rivalry between these two.
  2. Anahuac is salty. I’ll say they win by 4 scores.
  3. Bumping this for those who might’ve missed it.
  4. Like I said, some of it is suspicious. But a lot of their supposed victims’ connections have been greatly exaggerated or even made up, and other’s causes of deaths have been inarguably proven. Suicide is pretty common in the high pressure world of politics as well, especially when you’re about to get busted for something. And again, there’s the main point I made earlier: over the years the Clintons have had literally thousands of interns, associates, partners, and advisors. They’ve been in politics for over 40 years. I would bet serious money that you could connect a similar number of deaths to any other high profile politician who’d been active for 40 years. Especially if you’re willing to fudge a few facts to make it look like a lot of the dead people had a closer connection to them than they actually did.
  5. Got this pickem wrong, but thought it was a tossup. Boy was I wrong. Not sure if Diboll lost a lot, Madisonville gained a lot, or some combination of the two.
  6. I’m not arguing that there aren’t some suspicious deaths around the Clintons. I’ll even concede that there’s a possibility they, or the govt is behind a few of them. That said, I could make a list of people I personally have known that have been murdered, died in car crashes, died in plane crashes, committed suicide, had heart attacks, died during surgery, etc. that could rival the list conspiracy theorists throw out there when accusing the Clintons of killing off half of Washington. And I don’t know, and have not been associated with, nearly the number of people they have. it’s important to keep in mind that at some point literally every person who’s ever come in contact with the Clintons will die of one cause or another. They’re now in their 70s, as are many of their associates. Those associates are at an age where unexpected deaths are actually expected. Anyway, carry on!
  7. Football season is upon us, and it’s the time of year where posters get all up in their feels and start breaking forum rules. I encourage everyone to read through them if they’re new to the site, or if maybe it’s been awhile and you need a refresher. To help you out, I’ll go over a few of the ones that usually get broken here for your reading pleasure, and even provide a few examples for you: No profanity. This includes using symbols. Obviously not all profanity is created equal, but for certain words, or for using them to describe someone else, you’ll catch a ban pretty quick. Keep it civil: no abusive or racial comments. acceptable: I disagree with that. unacceptable: you’re an idiot. acceptable: you’re wrong about that. unacceptable: You’re an idiot. acceptable: quit asking me the same thing over and over. unacceptable: I’ll answer you when your mom leaves. I think y’all get the point here. Stick to the topic. This can get a little fuzzy at times, and it’s okay to bring up someone’s comments on a previous thread, within reason. acceptable: when this team played last week you were saying something different. unacceptable: in the Benghazi thread on the political forum you made a point I disagree with. Acceptable: LCM is down 10. If they lose and we win this one, we’re tied for first in district! unacceptable: I just saw that Carthage is up 35 on Marshall. They’d destroy this team if they played. again, use common sense. and finally, and probably most importantly, no bashing of teams, coaches, individual players, or communities. acceptable: the quarterback is struggling with his accuracy today. Unacceptable: this quarterback is garbage. Bench him! acceptable: the secondary can’t cover their receivers. Unacceptable: man, their wide receivers are torching #3! acceptable: I don’t like coach Harris’ game-plan. Unacceptable: this coach is a moron! Fire him! acceptable: I think Johnson is a better option at running back. unacceptable: this team isn’t going to win until they quit handing the ball off to Williams. acceptable: Hamshire Fannett doesn’t have enough parking, and needs turf. Unacceptable: The HF stadium sucks. They should bulldoze it. acceptable: this is a tough matchup for Williams. unacceptable: Williams isn’t good enough to be on the field in this one. He’s single-handedly losing the game for us. acceptable: it seems like we have to problems with the fans every time we go to Caneyhead. Unacceptable: everyone who lives in Caneyhead is white trash. Use your common sense here once again. It’s understandable to get frustrated with teams, players, facilities, and communities. If you can’t find a way to respectfully make your point, just keep it to yourself. i appreciate your time here, gentlemen. Here’s to a great season of SETX football, and an enjoyable season of posting on the best sports site in Texas!
  8. I’m familiar with it 😀. I think what stood out to me is that he managed to target literally everyone involved in the game over and over.
  9. Feelings aren’t hurt in the slightest. I just read through the thread and realized almost the entire thing was him criticizing and complaining. He was there for the game and didn’t provide a single update or comment on a single play. All he did was gripe about HFs field and Lumberton’s play. It was one of the more impressive displays of negativity that I’ve seen in my 15 years on the site (at least outside of the political forum).
  10. Pretty interesting matchup. Gonna be one of those pickems that helps decide the weekly standings
  11. I’d never heard of him, but apparently he’s important somehow?
  12. Having worked in BISD when all of the theft, fraud, and malfeasance went on, I still get angry when I hear about these stories. I’m not sure if I’m more angry about the crimes that took place, or about the way that many of the criminals were given a free pass by (parts of) the community. The crimes were incredibly well-documented and poorly concealed. The people who exposed the corruption were drug through the mud, and multiple members of the school board who allowed it to happen were re-elected after the state mandated takeover was complete. I’m so glad to be out of there.
  13. Hawaii is something else. Nobody even came close to giving them a game. Curious to see how they do tomorrow. I expect a win, but don’t know their pitching situation, or Curaçao’s
  14. 17 total posts in this thread. 6 about how terrible HF’s stadium is, 2 about HF’s football team being bad, 6 about how disappointing Lumberton is, and 3 that weren’t criticizing or insulting something or someone. I’m sure they love you wherever it is you reside. I bet you’re the life of every party.
  15. Last year I started off badly. Glad to be up near the top
  16. Great play. Suspicions of his feet being out of bounds on the play, but if it counts, it counts!
  17. Anyone have one of them fancy Twitter links to the final play?
  18. Yup. It looks great. A lot better than when I played there.
  19. I think Fannett will have an okay season. HJ maybe not so much.
  20. I got it right, but the scores were put backwards on the title and thought I’d gotten it wrong. 😀
  21. Let’s go, horns! Will gladly take an L on the pickems if you pull this one off!
  22. Sometimes a loss is a win. That’s a really solid result. Franklin is the real deal.
  23. Was gonna go to the game and had some family stuff come up. Sounds like a good one.
